Hi, my name is Jack-O and this is my first character. I found this site through An ad through a different rp site. Something you should know about me is I’m probably the only straight male I know who studied Jane Austen at college..
Canon: Pride & Prejudice
Custom Title: Terrible First Impression
PHYSICAL
Age:Twenty Four
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Height: 6’5
Body: Tall and thin with an athletic build
Other distinguishing features:
Wardrobe:Dresses in the finest suits and rarely steps out of his home in anything less than a dress shirt. His clothing for the most part is custom tailored, and he has a habit of only wearing the same tie once.[/ul]
Play By: Matthew Macfadyen
PERSONALITY
General personality: At first meeting or in business Darcy comes off like the top of the snobs, since he was raised to believe that he only deserved the best. He’s reserved, though a quiet democrat, and rarely curses. He’s very picky when it comes to business and friends, even to them he comes off as detached and more of an observer than part of the conversation. He won’t admit to his pride though, in his own words he describes it as finding it hard to forgive the follies and vices of others and their offenses against him. His good opinions of people, once lost, is lost forever no matter what. He is a man of his word and will give his honest opinion always and thinks nothing about who it might hurt. If you’re a close friend, or a relative he actually likes you might see the real Will. He has a good heart and cares more than he lets on for the people around him. He is a generous man and takes care the people around him with ease. His sister is his life and he is very protective over her, she is one of two people that he would do absolutely anything he could to make happy.
Quotes, frequently used expressions: “I... do not have the talent of conversing easily with people I have never met before.”

Georgiana “Georgie” Darcy - Sister - 16
Sergeant Fitz Darcy - Cousin - 29
Catherine De Bourgh- Aunt- late fifties
Education: Graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Business and a minor in Publishing
Occupation:CEO of Pemberley INC. Partner at Darcy, Bingley, and Wilde Publishing.
Worst past experience: George Wickham, a man that Darcy once considered a brother, and practically grew up with betrayed his family’s trust. When he found out that the elder Mr. Darcy didn’t leave him anything in the will he decided to take matters into his own hands. He took his bond that he had made with Will’s only and young sister and convinced her that he loved her and wanted to elope. Will followed them and made it clear that Georgiana would not see any money from her trust fund until she was past twenty, that’s when Wickham’s true side came out and he left her. Having to take care of his sister in such a fragile state broke his heart. As his only real family he pledged that he would protect her from anything that might hurt her again.
Best past experience: Graduating from Oxford and receiving the news that he was to take over one of his father’s companies that he acquired in America. It was a book publishing company that was still run by Malcolm Wilde, the man his father put in charge before he died. When Darcy moved to New York to take it over he brought with him his best friend and business partner to help him run the publicity department.
History: Will was the first child born to Anne and Fitzwilliam Darcy. He was given his father’s name which was soon shortened to Will once he started school and he realized he wasn’t getting the right reputation with such a long and formal name. He was brought up with the best and oldest money. His pride was instilled in him from a young age when he started his first private academy. When he was older and his sister was born, his father took on a young ward whose father was once an acquaintance of the elder Fitzwilliam. He had a bond with the boy that he didn’t have with his own son, which pushed Will to form a closer bond with his mother and loath the boy known as Wickham. His mother was the one who instilled him with his prejudices and confidence. When she passed on he found that the only connection he had left within the confines of his home was with his young sister. She became his purpose, the one person he actually loved and respected. He would protect her at all costs, as proven with the accident that took place after his father died.
Wickham showed his true colors when he found out that the elder Mr. Darcy didn’t leave him anything in the will and he decided to take matters into his own hands. From that day on he made sure Georgiana went to the best of schools and had every opportunity handed to her. Oxford was the school his father and grandfather both attended. It was the place where Darcy met his best friend, Charles Bingley.
One summer he traveled with Bingley to a summer home that his family had kept. At a party he was brought into acquaintance with a woman that seemed to loath and challenge everything Darcy encompassed. Her name was Elizabeth Bennett and though he denied it, Darcy fancied her attitude and the way she carried herself in a conversation. After graduating from Oxford, he was forced to step into his father’s shoes. Taking on the family business and overseeing all of the companies his father had acquired over the years. He sold most of them off, keeping only the profitable ones. He fancied one in particular which was based in the States, New York City to be exact. It was a publishing company that published books by independent writers. Books and reading were a passion of Will’s so much so that he convinced his best mate to move to New York with him and run the company.
THE SAMPLE
In Character Sample:
Darcy was not used to going to parties such as this one, he didn’t want to say it was below him…but let’s face it- it was. He hated bars out here in the country but would rather be holding a martini than a luke warm beer any day. He didn’t know whose home they were at or really any of the people who seemed to be having a good time. He only knew the two companions he traveled with, his best friend Charlie and his sister Caroline. There was a girl that kept his attention though on the dance floor. She was dancing with a group of friends although she looked more as if she were putting a show with the type of moves she was confidently displaying. He had no room to judge, he wasn’t the type of person that would ever dance to something as upbeat as what was blaring from the speakers at the moment.
Later on he would come into conversation with the young women when Charlie brought her and her sister over to be introduced. In Darcy's opinion it had seemed that Charlie found her sister attractive and turned into a complete pile of mush when he got around her. Something Darcy had only witnessed on very few occasions. He couldn’t understand how he could find someone so plain attractive when he had beautiful women flung his way daily and he didn’t give them a second glance. Charlie as the night progressed had clung to the blonde’s side for most of the night, only coming over to persuade Darcy to dance with a suitable girl. When he suggested the sister of the blonde, Will could only give a disapproving sigh and look of disdain. He wasn’t one for making new acquaintances out of his element and knew that dancing or even conversing with the girl would only end in disaster and embarrassment. “I think I’m going to sit this one out, she’s attractive enough but plain. She talks too much and is barely tolerable. Your friends waiting for you out there,” He said with a motion to the blonde on the dance floor, “Don’t worry about me, I have a warm beer to finish.” He said as he looked down to the bottle in his hand and then back to Bingley with a trying smile. - Elizabeth Bennet
