Ooooh they're beautiful, the rooms. I really like the third one because I love gold and red haha.

I really like the first ballroom best. It's so pretty! However, I'd like to suggest that, even though the thread is fast-paced, the thread stay open longer than a week. It's just a little more reasonable with coping with Real Life and everything. It also gives time for people to finish threads. So maybe two or three weeks instead? Just throwing it out there.

Eponine has a point to consider I mean of course you can always do what you want Juliet, but it might be a bit difficult for some of us.

I really like the first and the third one. (:
A costume ball is just a really great idea!

I just thought the chaos would be more controlled if it was a only a week long event. But I'm thinking about actually keeping it open for a month...
I'm bouncing between the two extremes. lol.

A month is good too! My recommendation is to make a sub-board just for the ball and everyone can make specific threads for characters instead of trying to put it all in one or two threads. I don't know if that was the plan already, but yeah.

We do have two sub-boards - one for the Capulet manor and one for the Montague manor in Suburbia as Yolanda and I feel that's appropriate in terms of organization - we don't want to load the site with too many boards, and in the thread the costume ball will be specified. If things get out of control we'll reconsider our plotting but I think we're fine for now.

Agreed.
I think if you make it fast paced (which I feel is reasonable for a large thread like this)...there should be no need for an end date. It'll probably end sooner (if its fast) rather than later, but of course that depends on what's going on in the thread.
As an after thought (or an idea of sorts)...there could be something going on (over arching plot) DURING the ball, that causes conflict or unrest between the characters (so there's more than just chatting and mingling) and when ever that is resolved, then the thread could end. Just a thought.

Hmm... I hadn't even thought about that. Thats not a bad idea. I guess we'll just keep it open for that then.
Hmmm... help me brain storm for said ideas... I like it, but my brain is kind of tapped out for ideas... lol.

Oo I think a few people could host it. Hamlet Enterprises could sponsor/host it potentially. If this is true, "mentally unstable" Hamlet might come through *looks at Monte Cristo* *looks up* Yeeees? Sorry I haven't been on- I've been trying to avert a disaster on another board (and am failing miserably). Looks like Juliet's got things under control, but if you need anything, just ask. Money is no object. The second ballroom is the most appropriate one for such an occasion; the first room being too narrow and the third room having carpet. And capping the length of an RP has never worked for me, as the drama always unfolds in unexpected ways. If you must, a month would be ideal. And those are my two cents.
