Leslie and Zachary lived in Colorado, mountains and wilderness as far as the eye could see, a few years after getting married Leslie found she was carrying twins, a girl and a boy. Their children were born in the late fall. Diana was the first into the world, she had small tufts of hair the color of the leaves, she was named Diana after her grandmother. Then only three minutes later Diana's fraternal twin brother _________ was born. The twins spent most of their toddlers years together, without different personalities or even different ideas, the were stuck together like peanut butter and jelly.
At the age of ten Diana had the choice to be left to her own devices and took it while she had the chance. She often spent most of her time alone playing outside in the yard or chasing the dog around the house, but she did hold a very close bond with __________ she enjoyed his creativity most of all. Toward the end of the kids elementary school years Leslie decided she wanted to open a waffle house, it had been a life long aspiration of hers, and where better to do it then good ole' New York City. With most of Zach's retirement money the family packed up and moved for the city, Diana wasn't particularly happy about it, especially when the family decided an apartment in Times Square was a good place to call home. Diana missed the freedom of the outdoors, but her mother was happy where they were, and __________ seemed to enjoy it as well, so she kept her mouth shut.
In high school Diana had attracted a lot of boys, she slowly became obsessed and was a huge flirt, she ran into some troubles though, and slowly began to realize that most men she ran into all wanted the famous 'one thing,' convinced she'd never find a good man Diana swore she'd stay single all her life. So while all her friends dated and made out with guys on weekends, Diana took to baby sitting her neighbors kids, or indulging herself in charity events, and even running for her high school track team. Which wasn't all that bad, she enjoyed children, and helping the less fortunate and she had the muscle to sprint like a deer if she wanted to. A few times though Diana slipped into a depression, she missed the wilderness back in Colorado and seeing his daughters unhappiness, Zachary took the family up to the Adirondack Mountains to go camping, and has been every summer.
During the summer Diana had began a college search, still wanting to remain relatively close to the city but somewhere close to a more rural area of New York was a tough find, eventually Diana gave up her search and decided to just continue her job at the warehouse then eventually when she had the time go to college.
THE SAMPLE
In Character Sample:
She anxiously tapped her nails on the wood of the oak desk, a name plate sat in the front it read; Head Master James Steele. Her nerves were beginning to bit at her stomach, that or she was hungry from missing breakfast she tried to focus only on the fact that she was at a college interview and it was a good college right in the area she was hoping for. The giant doors behind her opened to reveal a tall, frail old man with coke-bottle glasses and a finely trimmed beard. He gazed at Diana from over the rim of his spectacles then sat down in his leather computer chair.
"Diana, is it?" He said peering down at the clip board in his hand, it was the same clip board she'd filled out but moments ago in the lobby. It had asked her stupid questions like her hobbies and if she'd ever been to a concert.
"Y-Yes," Diana swallowed hard and her voice came out as a low squeak. He looked her over once more his lips pursued in an O shape, then he wrote something on the clipboard.
"Is your middle name honestly Bambi or are you a prankster, Ms. Paige?" Head Master Steele said without even looking back up from the clipboard.
She bit her bottom lip, why did everyone think the name Bambi was so odd? That damn Disney movie ruined her name and she'd been mocked since kindergarten, Diana quiet liked the name Bambi and often times dotted the eye with a deer antlers, like in this case, which is probably why James Steele thought she was joking around. "No sir, that is my middle name."
"Right then, well Diana we are seriously considering you, it was nice meeting you I hope you have a good rest of the summer." Head Master Steele stood up shook Diana's hand and left the room. Leaving Diana dumbfounded. How she hated interviews.
