Harry grinned at his response. "I'll drink to that," he said and paused as if debating something in his head. He was purposely talking nonsense but hey, that was a pretty good idea. "Actually, you know what, I will drink to that." He packed up his papers and stood. "And no matter what the out come in the next elections, I really hope the city doesn't fall through. 2012 is coming up you know. They say this whole city will be underwater. I would think the job as mayor will be much more difficult while drowning..." his voice trailed off a bit as if he were actually entertaining the thought. After a moments pause, he shook his head, coming out of his short day dream.
"Don't mind me, I'm just thinking out loud to myself. Myself sometimes thinks my thinking is very annoying. So I'm not going to take any more time of yours or myself." Harry started towards the door and paused. "Thank you, Mayor. And I have to say, your faith in the people is so admirable its almost unbelievable." His expression changed into one of bemusement. "But then again, I have exactly...zero expectations as of late, of anyone." He grinned at Richard. "And to think this kind of political stuff used to entertain me once upon a time."
This wasn't nonsense anymore. Harry amazed even himself - how much he's changed over such a short time. A short time that seemed like ages.
"Have a good one, mayor." Harry said before exiting his office. Once he closed the door, he sighed heavily. Going mad was exhausting.
