THAT TIME AGAIN!OMG March sped by so fast for me! I totally forgot to get this up! So hurry and nominate your favs! You guys know the deal And a few things: 1) VOTE VOTE VOTE! Vote for mayor! Guys this would to totally totally awesome if all the characters that *would* and *could* vote in a election...actually *does* it The more votes, the better - and more realistic. Go here and VOTE!2) We stiiiiiiiiiill need more replies/comments/ideas for the SITE SHOP so check it out! New and old members alike are welcome to comment. We just want to get as many possibilities as possible. As ABSOLUTELY possible. Alright - some rules! 1) the same person cannot win the same award two months in a row (want to give others a chance, so keep that in mind when you make your nominations and voting. You can give that person acknowledgement of course in your post!)
2) Come the first week of April (or around there), we'll give out awards...which means the people who have awards now will have to give their siggies up so the new winners can feel special But dont worry, we'll have an archive of awards in our graphics section and you can keep a list of the awards you've won in your siggy.
3) For new people (and old, but mostly for those who just joined us this month), you notice that we have a marquee at the top displaying headlines for the NEW YORK TIMES in our RP. Every month we will look for moments in the threads you're involved in, that are pretty public...that a newspaper team would pick up on.
Read the paper for examples. Large public scenes, events with high-profile people, criminal activity, big events in general, anything like that is welcome. We're accepting headlines, blurbs, classified ads, and if you want...any ideas of how we could expand the paper So even if you'd rather not nominate, please let us know if you are involved in a thread with those kind of things in it. Or if you have anything to contribute. Here's a reminder of the criteria Criteria for Male and Female of the Month: Should have many of these qualities -Active -Constantly contributing to the board and its members -Wonderful RPer (you can provide an excerpt of a post that demonstrates their wonderfulness) -Helpful and friendly Criteria for Couple/Duo of the Month: Should have many of these qualities -Excellent RPs together -Either have one or more of the following - Chemistry/Rivalry/Romance/Teamwork/Interesting dynamic or pairing -RPers work well together Criteria for Thread of the Month: Should have many of these qualities -Engaging, exciting, suspenseful and/or enjoyable to read -All characters demonstrate excellent RPing skills -A defining/memorable thread Please nominate who you think should win for each of these awards. Please copy and paste the code below. It is important that you explain WHY you nominate your choices! After a week or so, we'll take these nominations and create a poll with all of the nominees. All members can then vote for the nominee they think should win! So have fun, and nominate who you think should win! The code is below:

(Yes, no. Name the thread and suggest a "headline" and even a short "blurb" that you think would describe the event. Its okay if you can't think of one. Also if you have ANY other ideas besides headlines for the newspaper, let us know and we can see if we can add it :D)

I nominate:
Hector 'Hades' Tormei For MALE OF THE MONTH
It may seem odd that I'm voting for Mr. Tormei, but hear me out. Kay is, as you all know, an absolutely amazing roleplayer, able to play such a wide variety of characters with such skill and finesse. Not only this but she is a genuinely lovely person. (: As for Hector himself, Kay writes him masterfully; when he insults my dear Ricky I really feel for him and when he makes threats I'm really scared. No joke. Ask Kay; she knows how much Hector scares me. A character that is able to put real life fear into someone defintley deserves an award...even if he is trying to usurp Ricky. XD
Robin 'Puck' Fellows For FEMALE OF THE MONTH
I first met Gryphon in the c-box and she was very friendly and fun to talk to. Her application and reinvention of Puck were brilliant and creative. I'm in one thread with her at the moment; I love how Gryphon writes as Puck, from descriptions of her tricks to the way she speaks. Can't wait to continue our thread and see more from this mischevious magician! (:
A Winding Crack For THREAD OF THE MONTH
Once again I'm nominating a thread I'm in and for that I apologize. But A Winding Crack deserves to be nominated, methinks, for the following reasons: Kay and Alex are absolutely epic and their characters play off each other really well, this thread is just a small part of an epic plot currently unfolding, this thread is great fun to be a part of, as all good threads should be. (: Can't wait for this one to continue!
I nominate:
Sherlock Holmes & James Moriarty Edwards For COUPLE/DUO OF THE MONTH
I've been reading their current thread and I can tell they're going to be an epic enemytastic duo. Moriarty and Holmes? Can't get much more amazing than that. Looking forward to seeing more from these two! (: Tichy and Kay play the two rivals brilliantly, as is to be expected. ^^
Have something for THE NEWSPAPER?
I'll be updating the political review (probabaly with election results) and may have other stuff if I come up with it. (:

I nominate:
Ponyboy Curtis! For MALE OF THE MONTH
I absolutely adore the way Jenny writes Ponyboy, she catches his personality perfectly! I have a few threads going on with her at the moment and I get so excited over each and every one of them. The way Ponyboy is written makes me think it should have actually been part of the book. =D
Honorable Mentions: Gavroche Thénardier-Sunny is an absolute doll when it comes to the C-Box and her posts just blow me away. The way she writes makes you feel as if you are really there and you can actually feel emotion for Gavroche. I look forward to posting with her a lot more!
Meg Giry For FEMALE OF THE MONTH
Of course I've only interacted with Meg through ICC and currently doing a thread with her, but Katie has already made me adore the cute French girl that is Meg Giry. Katie gives her qualities that makes her character unique yet the most lovable girl there can be.
(Nominee's name Here) For THREAD OF THE MONTH
Here's why! (explain here)
I nominate:
(Nominees' names Here) For COUPLE/DUO OF THE MONTH

Have something for THE NEWSPAPER?
I may have one, but first I must ask Ms. Jenny. If I do then you'll know =D

I nominate: Claudius ChandlerFor MALE OF THE MONTHHere's why! Look at him go! This BAMF has been has been working his way around the boards and honestly - its scary how someone as wuvvable as the Ness is able to nail these touchy, mean-tempered, distinctively powerful and/or just plain badass charatcers down to a T. Don't kill me Harry! Dahlia SkuldFor FEMALE OF THE MONTHHere's why! This 'nom comes down to me generally just liking the character. Dahlia's willowy, but interesting. Ghostly, but with a charm. Also props to Jill, it can't be all that simple playing a mute character but I think it was an ambitious decision, and she's pulled it off well I say. Dancing at the MoMaFor THREAD OF THE MONTHHere's why! I don't think I really deserve to mention this thread as Levi's kinda took a dip from it >>; but really. Not only does this connect to the all-important Mayor elections, but we have all these interacting characters with all their own little sub-situations. Sorry Rickyboy I nominate: Harry and Claudius ChandlerFor COUPLE/DUO OF THE MONTHHere's why! The spite, suspicion, irrational distruct and family awkwardness between Harry and his uncle makes for an excellent read. The two, fantastically played by Yols and Ness, instantly click in terms of interaction and persecution complex. Their conversations have this natural flow to them - More Than Kin, Less Than Kind being an excellent example. Also .. guys in suits Have something for THE NEWSPAPER?I don't ... yet. Sorry for sucking D:

I nominate: B. Chase DavidsonFor MALE OF THE MONTHHere's why! He's such a poignant, heartbreaking character in Having Flown. My heart has always gone out to him but the depth of his dispair is beautifully played out in the thread and the suspense Jaime creates is phenomenal. Lady CFor FEMALE OF THE MONTHHere's why! She's just so amazing. Nessie is a genius where Lady C is concerned and her dry, disapproving character is one of the most fun to read. Fava Beans and a Nice ChiantiFor THREAD OF THE MONTHHere's why! The back and forth with Aaron and Claudius is fabulous. Of course, the title is pretty bad ass as well. I am proud to be a full on stalker of this thread, it's so........I can't even. No words I nominate: Damien Talbot and Dahlia SkuldFor COUPLE/DUO OF THE MONTHHere's why! Their dynamic is incredible. With Dahlia being a silent character and Damien being more than vocal, they play off of each other nicely and are interesting to read. Have something for THE NEWSPAPER?Hector Tormei Wins Mayorial Elections? I kid. I have nothing. Yet.

I nominate: Hector TormeiFor MALE OF THE MONTHKay -and Hector - is made of awesome, simple as that Seriously though, RPing with Hector is the most fun a girl can have on here. Kay's developed him so well, and it's a thrill plotting for him and Penelope. I get beyond excited everytime I see a reply from Hector, because I know it'll be thoroughly enjoyable and interesting. Dahlia SkuldFor FEMALE OF THE MONTHDahlia's easily one of the most original characters on here and shes played wonderfully. She's quite haunting to read, even if she is voiceless. FiresideFor THREAD OF THE MONTH1. It's Moriarty and Holmes 2. It's Tichy and Kay 3. Epic foeyay and a battle of two monumental brains Do we really need another excuse to nominate this one? It's shaping up to be one of the most entertaining threads I've ever read I nominate: Damien Talbot and Dahlia SkuldFor COUPLE/DUO OF THE MONTHYou can almost taste the emotional atmosphere between these two! They play off each other so well, and Dahlia was particularly remarkable in their initial thread in the graveyard. Have something for THE NEWSPAPER?Not right now. But the tabloids may find some interest in the upcoming Hector/Penelope plottage, so keep an eye out for when things get serious. XD
