"What about you?" Victor asked, barely containing a cruel smirk. "You don't look shabby or anything. Must have a good amount of ladies yourself."
Here, he chuckled to hide the snicker that was coming on. He was sure the man did have a good amount of ladies around him, but he highly, highly doubted that he dated any. It wasn't as though Sebastian wasn't attractive, even though Victor didn't care to know much about attractive men beyond what he'd been told about himself, but that he didn't seem the flirting type--with men, of course.
Here, the employee who had been manning the bar came back with a whole tray of clean glasses. Victor was slightly disappointed; he felt confident that all of his workers knew which way he leaned by the number of women he often left with, but it would be awkward to play his game in front of a random worker.
Plus, even though he didn't seem like he cared, he held that strange sort of grip on masculinity that all men never seemed to be able to let go of; to be called gay when you weren't was the worst affront imaginable to men!
With a slight frown, he turned his attention back to Sebastian, waiting for him to go on despite the unwanted presence.

"What about you?" Victor asked, barely containing a cruel smirk. "You don't look shabby or anything. Must have a good amount of ladies yourself."
Sebastian blinked at his drink with wide eyes. He looked up to Victor, then back down at his drink. "Y--Y--I--Ah..." He set his drink down on the counter. "I--If there were, you would not see me with them." He cleared his throat.
Stupid, stupid, STUPID! He mentally smacked himself. But what was he supposed to say, that he was gay and totally into the owner of this bar? HIM? No, never. He could never say that. The truth was, Sebastian was terrible at conversing in a flirtatious manner. It didn't suit the way he worked. He was a calculating type of man. Not an, "oh, why don't I bat my eyelashes at this guy and see what comes of it," guy. No, there would be no sure way of the man returning the affections. That did not suit him at all.
But at this point, the handsome bar owner gave him no alternative. Though the man did seem considerably uncomfortable when the bartender entered. This could work to Sebastian's advantage. He could be coy when he wanted to be. And right now he did.
He raised the corner of his mouth in a toothy grin, as well as his finely shaped eyebrow. "Mr... Oh, I didn't catch your name... It's not Jack, is it?"

A beautiful smirk spread its way onto Victor's face yet again. Now he had admitted, just like he was supposed to, and he was playing Jack's game now.
While the employee had his eyes away, Victor lifted a graceful hand, his eyes never leaving Sebastian's, and swiped a glass over the edge of the bar, sending it and its contents toppling to the carpet.
"Oh, shit," he muttered. "Did you do that?" He looked at the employee.
"Wh-? No. Must have been someone passing," the man answered, but grabbed a towel to clean it up anyway. "I'll go get the thing." By 'thing' he referred to whatever they used to clean the carpet.
As the employee rushed off, Victor turned back to Sebastian, finally answering his question: "Jack? No. Not usually," he said in a low voice, re-crossing his arms. "You can call me Victor. Or, Mr. Griffiths, if you really prefer."
Now it was evident that Victor was flirting, which was completely unexpected and rather amazing--what were the odds!--but what was not evident was that he was playing a game with Sebastian. A fun, fun game it was, though if Sebastian knew about it, he wouldn't think it so.

"You can call me Victor. Or, Mr. Griffiths, if you really prefer."
Sebastian internally blushed, but he was good at concealing it on the outside. His breath catching, however, was an entirely different story. There was no doubt about it now. This man was coming onto him. What would Sebastian do now? It had been over a year since he'd been interested in anyone. This guy was a total stranger... Albiet a hot one.
"M...M...Mr... I mean... Victor." He held out his hand for Victor to take. He stared directly into his eyes. They were the clearest blue, almost silver. Like the blade of a knife.
What a strange analogy for him to make. Though they did slice through him like one. They were icy and frigid, but in a... strangly soothing sort of manner. And they danced with flirtatious life. He let his gaze flow down to the man's lips. They looked... lickable. Like they were just waiting to be moistened by Sebastian's saliv--
'NO NO NO NO NO! STOP IT SEBASTIAN STOP IT RIGHT THIS INSTANT!' His mind screamed at him. He shook his head a little, closing his eyes. Dear God, he just realized it had been over a year since he'd made love. This was a complicated situation indeed.

Victor took his hand firmly and shook it, hoping to communicate that he was in control of this situation, not Sebastian. "Pleasure. And what do I call you?" he asked, his polite tone agonizing; why wouldn't he just take a flirty tone and get it over with?
The last thing Victor planned was to sleep with Sebastian tonight. But alcohol has amazing effects, plus he was overdue for some stress relief, and the martini in front of the man was looking awfully attractive right about now...
His eyes snapped back to Sebastian, smiling again. No, Victor wasn't gay, but he was an adrenaline junkie. Also, he had found from previous experience that gay sex could often be bloody business.
He liked blood.

"Pleasure. And what do I call you?"
"Prof-- I mean, uh... Sebastian... Sebastian Martin," he managed. Not many people outside University asked him his name, so that was his normal response. The title Professer didn't suit him though. He felt Victor's grip sternly, and felt weak underneath it. Victor frightened him, in a way. But it was a cosmic kind of frightening, like he was drawn to him. Like a planet to its sun.
He noticed Victor's gaze drift to his martini. Sebastian raised his eyebrow before the other man looked back into his eyes. "The pleasure is all mine, Victor."
He started to let go of his hand. But he didn't want to. His grip was warm and delighting, but so dominant and forceful. He hadn't felt a grip like that in years...
'Not since Andrew...' he mused. His eyes drifed down in an absent-minded glance to Victor's chin. His hand went limp unintentionally, like he was having a vision. But he wasn't. This was odd for him, as he never daydreamed. And it was especially awkward with Victor holding his hand, now. Because that's what it was.
Victor was holding his hand now, rather than shaking it. And there was nothing Sebastian could do about it, for when Sebastian thought of Andrew... Well, let's just say there was little one could do to snap him out of it.

Victor was hesitant, sensing that Sebastian was off in dreamland. But so soon? Was he really that boring? He would just have to try harder; the game wasn't over yet. He rubbed the back of the limp hand in his a bit, just to bring him back to reality. Then he dropped it.
"Sebastian. I like it," he said, nodding in approval. He glanced at the martini again. How strange would people think it if he prepared himself a drink in his own bar?
Oh well. He'd just make an excuse to the waiter, who would come back sooner than later, or should anyway. If he valued his job, he wouldn't ask any questions beyond what Victor told him.
He tilted his head slightly, getting a strange vibe off of the man. Sebastian Martin. He knew that name--he knew that name from somewhere, and it was beginning to irritate him that he couldn't place it. Maybe he'd read something about him...? No, that couldn't be, he didn't know this man's face. But he knew the man. From somewhere.
Huh.

Sebastian was surpised to be pulled out of his daydreams. The soft touch went away after a light rub. He whimpered lightly, but touched his mouth in disgust. He looked away.
"Glad you like it," he coughed. "I... I'm sorry, I tend to space out like that... It's... It's not you its just... I mean... Oh..." He groaned, slapping his head down in his hands. "Oh my God this is so obvious."
He should just go back to sulking. But when this guy caught his eye, it was too late. "Isn't it? It's so obvious. I'm such a fool. I'm sorry..." He looked up at Victor. "I'm not normally like this, you know. I'm usually so calm and cool. What's wrong with me today?"
He grabbed his martini and finished it in one gulp.

"Obvious?" Victor said quietly, leaning forward again so that his chest just barely scathed the edge of Sebastian's martini glass, which was far up on the bar now that he'd finished it. "I'm sure I don't know what you mean."
Without asking him if he wanted another, he picked up the glass and got a fresh one, beginning to mix him another martini. Victor's hands moved gracefully, like an artist's, over the various bottles and mixes, familiar with this particular drink. And then it became obvious-- Victor wasn't just making Sebastian another drink; he was making one for himself as well.
With a smirk, he passed a fresh one to Sebastian and leaned against the counter with his, as though they were discussing a very important business proposition. That was exactly what he planned on telling his employee, too, when he finished with the carpet. Otherwise, Victor would have no excuse to be in this position--and was was he supposed to say? That he was teasing the man for his own sick enjoyment?

Sebastian blinked at his fresh drink, then blinked again at the one Victor was holding. What the hell?
This was too weird. Maybe he was too spaced out and upset to really judge what was going on, but from the looks of it, Victor was teasing him. "Yes you do know what I mean," he scoffed, picking his drink up with a glare and sipping it. "If you didn't, you wouldn't have made yourself a drink, Mr. Victor."
He raised an eyebrow, swishing his drink around in the glass. He placed his arm on the counter leaning foward and sighing. This was going to be a long, drink-induced night, he was sure of it.

"That's Mr. Griffiths," Victor said teasingly, a smirk once again playing on his mouth. He seemed to have two modes: grim and smirking. There was barely an in-between. Not that his smirk wasn't hot like fire. "And am I not aloud to make a drink for myself in my own establishment?"
He looked over as the employee he'd sent off came back to work at the carpet. The boy threw Victor a questioning glance, and Victor made an 'I'll tell you later, just shut up, it's important' sign. Somehow, what he was trying to say was translated quite well, even if it was a slight hand gesture.
The boy nodded a little, glanced at Sebastian, and got to work on the carpet. No one seemed to notice them, as there were only two couples actually dining besides them. It hadn't been busy this winter at all, but it should pick up in the spring a bit.
Victor turned his attention back to Sebastian.

Sebastian sighed, throwing his hand in the air in an exasperated gesture. "Of course you are. Who am I to say you're not. I was just making an observation..." he said, rubbing his forehead. He gave a small smile, looking up at the grinning Victor.
"Listen, I haven't been in the best of moods today. I'm sorry for being so... introverted, but its just my nature, I guess," he said, tracing little patterns with the tip of his finger on the counterspace, staring absent-mindedly, but still coherent. "I'm sure there's a lot more interesting people you could induldge right now," he looked around the place, and saw few people other than himself. "Or not..." He shrugged, taking another sip of his martini.

Victor looked around. "In this graveyard? Nah. We'll probably get a few more stragglers, but we've not been too busy lately." He sighed a little, taking a long sip at his drink. "I should probably be locking up soon..." he added wistfully, glancing sideways at Sebastian while he scanned the room. The last few people were paying and starting to leave.
Finally, his eyes met Sebastian's again; they flashed a moment, like the shine of a knife, and almost like it was a switch, his straight face sprung into another grin.
He was due for a little stress release...

He gulped a little with his drink. "Oh, I see..." He said. "I should probably pay then." He fumbled around in his pockets until he produced his wallet. "How much do I owe you? Do you take checks? I have cash though." The man was babbling, of course. He felt like he'd intruded now, since the bar was pretty much empty. He just now realized how late it was.
But when he looked into Victor's eyes, he saw something else. Something far more inviting than a simple martini. He stopped cold, lowering his wallet. His lips were also inviting. The way they slid into that cocky grin made him want to forget about going home that night. In fact, now that he thought about it... The way Victor said what he said before was hinting at something else... Something far more... Welcoming.
"Oh."

Victor's small grin widened considerably as he watched Sebastian slowly fit the pieces together. This man was timid, introverted--he liked that. He preyed on that.
He watched from the side as his last employee began to pack up to leave. When the boy went into the kitchen a moment, Victor leaned forward so that they were only a mere foot away from each other. Taking a sip that finished his martini, he murmured warmly, "Don't worry...it's on me..."
Victor was happy with his choice at the moment; the man was timid, but he seemed...almost womanly. Like a nice woman. He enjoyed being treated, and even more so, being able to do whatever he wanted to someone in bed.
"It really is quite late."
