History: Ophelia was born, in Denmark, to a working class family that are on the borderline of first class and middle class. Her mother died when she was nine years old from unknown causes. It was the worst day of her life. Ever since then, things had been hard. Shortly after her mother's death, "Polonius" moved the family to France to try and catch a break from everything. However, it still wasn't far enough from the grief her father felt over his wife's death. So after five more years they then moved to New York. Where they could gain a fresh start.
It was not that hard for Ophelia to leave both Denmark and then France. She seldom left the house and did not have any friends to miss. Of course she wasn't happy about being so far away from where she grew up. There was nothing she could do to change her father's mind though. She merely had to grin and bear it.
Her father was hired at Hamlet Enterprise. Somewhere in that time, her brother "Laertes" and herself were introduced to "Hamlet". Ophelia was quickly taken by him but her brother warned her that he doesn't pay that much mind to anyone in lower classes. Her brother also told her that he didn't have a say in who he married. She had to be an equally rich heiress otherwise his parents would not approve. Ophelia was determined to proved that wrong.
THE SAMPLE
In Character Sample:
Ophelia groaned as the sun shined brightly through her blinds. Mornings were the worst time of day for her. As much as she loved the warmth of the rays hitting her skin, she could always go for a few more hours in bed. Ophelia forced herself to swing her feet out from under the covers and hit the itchy carpeting of her bedroom floor. She let out a yawn and stretched her hands out in front of her. Two more years of getting up early... She reminded herself, while meaning two more years of school. Ophelia had already survived about fifteen years of being trapped in stuffy classroom so what harm was there in another two?
She finally managed to make her butt remove itself from the comfy mattress and trudged out into the hallway to make her way to the bathroom. She didn't even bother to look in the mirror to see what a mess her scarlet hair was. Ophelia stripped down to nothing, hopped in the shower and turned on the hot water. A content sigh escaped her lips as she let every muscle loosen and get ready for a long day of school and work. She ran her hands over her hair to smooth out the knots before reaching for the shampoo bottle in the caddy. One quick squirt, a clack of the cap being shut, and then the smooth goo was applied to her head.
The scrubbing was oh-so soothing and cleared her mind. Nothing beat a shower in the morning to ease your mind. Ophelia then thought about what else she would do today after school. She had a two hour gap in between the end of the lessons and then her job at the florist. Ophelia could always attempt to meet up with Harry Chandler if he was free. No, she couldn't do that. He was nine years her senior and probably busy with all of his work. Still, the idea did sound appealing. With a wicked grin on her face, she rinsed her long red locks thoroughly before finishing up with the soap and then turning the knob to kill the water. Her hand groped for a towel hanging from the door before she wrapped around her and stepped out; ready to grab the bull by its horns.
