"For a piece as large as we're talking, it would all depend on how long it takes to complete the piece. The way I figure price is however much the initial materials cost, and then an additonal $10 for every hour that I spend working on it. An estimation would be somewhere between $800 and $1000 because of the sheer size of the piece,"
Her Ladyship nodded as Jane explained how she would price the painting; that sounded perfectly fine to Her Ladyship. More than perfectly fine, if anything. Eight hundred dollars was pin money to her.
"I can only really tell you the definite price once the piece has been completed. I hope that it isn't an inconvenience for you,"
"Not an inconvenience at all, my dear girl," Her Ladyship replied, smiling warmly. "It sure whatever price you charge will be absolutely fine, and the painting magnificent."

"It sure whatever price you charge will be absolutely fine, and the painting magnificent."
"Thank you, Lady de Bourgh. I'll go and get started then," Jane started packing up everything she had brought. "You have all of my contact information, call me if you have any questions or anything you'd like to add. Thank you for having me over, I'll inform you the moment the painting is complete and ready for transportation," Jane nodded once to Lady de Bourgh and made her way out of the sitting area and into the main corridor. Lady Catherine de Bourgh was a blessing for a starving artist.
As she passed by the help, Jane smiled at each and thanked the doorman as she exited Rosings Park. Back to the subway, back to her apartment. She wanted the painting to be finished as soon as possible for Lady de Bourgh. Not only would she work on it at home, but she would work on it at school as well.
((A bit slapdash but I'm eager to move their plot along))
