Hi, my name is Melinda and this is my First character. I found this site through RPG Directory (I think that is the name). Something you should know about me is I usually RP Harry Potter so this is new for me.
Canon: Midsummer Night's Dream /Shakespeare
Custom Title: These are the forgeries of jealousy.
PHYSICAL
Age: 27
Gender: Female

Height: 5 foot 6 inches
Body: She is a healthy sort of lean with a slight curve at the hips.
Other distinguishing features: Her hair is very curly and can often have a 'messy' look even though it has been brushed out.
Wardrobe: Titania wears the best of everything; even her shirts and jeans are the best fabrics from well known designers. Her clothes lean more toward styles that allow for movement and flow.[/ul]
Play By: Michelle Pfeiffer
PERSONALITY
General personality: While Titania appears to be a player of sorts, she is not. She lets people make whatever assumptions about her they want and then rolls with it. It is sort of like a game to her, seeing how long she can keep the image going before they realize their assumptions are wrong. When she loves, she loves deeply which can lead to her being fairly jealous of both men and women. She can have a bit of an attitude when people get in her face about things that she doesn't see as their business. She can have a biting wit that can cut deep.
Due to the way she was raised, Titania has a fear of people close to her leaving. She is trying to overcome it, but it is a slow process and her set backs anger her. She is working on a music career; she doesn't want to be some rock star, but she would like some acclaim for it. She believes in enjoying life to its fullest, and she does as often as possible. That being said, she loves a good party; she will rarely decline a party invitation.
Quotes, frequently used expressions: "Mine ear is much enamored of thy note."
Likes: (please list at least three)
Dislikes: (please list at least three)
Strengths: (please name three) She is a fairly stable and reliable person. She is a bit of a charmer; lending to this, is her ability to play along with most situations.
Weaknesses:(please name three) She can be stubborn about things she wants. Sometimes she can momentarily forget that she doesn't really like someone when she is pretending to. While on the surface it can seem a good thing, she can forgive people for betraying her if she feels close to them.
BACKGROUND
Family: Dana Forester - mother (estranged)
Father (unknown presumed dead)
Education: She was privately tutored and then went to college for music.
Occupation: She is attempting a music career.
History: Titania was born to an English socialite who wasn't particularly eager to be a mother, but knew that the social ramifications of being rid of the baby would be worse than having her. Since Dana didn't want to give up her lifestyle, she hired maids and nannies to raise her daughter, and very rarely saw her; the first nanny was a young woman who took care of Titania until she was 3. After that was a woman by the name of Katrina.
Katrina stuck around the longest and lived at the house until Titania turned 13. The nanny thought of her as a daughter, and it was during this time that she found her love of music. More importantly, she found her love of the flute. Katrina exposed Titania to many forms of music, and when she showed an interest in learning the woman started getting instruments for the young Titania until they found something that suited her .
When she was 13 her mother finally decided to come home and see the child she had given birth to; she didn't like what she saw. Titania was treating Katrina like a mother, and it didn't settle well with Dana. She quickly found an excuse to fire Katrina. Titania was hurt by what she viewed as her mother's betrayal. When her mother tried to ban her right to play the flute, she fought back until her mother relented.
When it was time for her to go to college, she chose to spite her mother and go to music school. She graduated 4 years later as one of the top in her class. It was also at this time that she gained access to the family money; she decided she was going to live the way she wanted and use her mother's money to do it. Her first job was with a small orchestra at a theatre. It was pleasant enough and the people were fun to be around.
Much to her disgust, articles began circling around about her, due to some exploit of her mothers. Many of them questioning if she was some rich man's child or some pauper's mistake. It angered her and began affecting her work. When reporter's showed up just to hound her at a show, she decided it was time to get away from it all. She made her arrangements and within the month was on a plane headed to what she hoped was a new start.
THE SAMPLE
In Character Sample: Titania swayed as she played; it was a simple tune that she was practicing. It was one of the first songs she had learned, and she found it to be soothing. The carpet of her new condo was soft under her feet and allowed her to dance barefoot, just how she liked.
As the tune ended, she smiled; she already felt more at home having played what she considered her song. She walked over to a table that had been assembled earlier that day and lovingly placed the gleaming silver flute in its case. Glancing at the clock, her eyes widened as she realized just how late it had gotten.
Hmm, perhaps it is time for dinner, she smiled to herself. She had been dying to try out the kitchen, and there wasn't a better time then dinner. Picking her way through the boxes in her condo, Titania entered the kitchen. It had drawn her attention right away with the the white tile floors and dark marble counter top; she had also been thrilled to see a solid glass top electric stove.
She pulled out some thawed chicken from the fridge; she was now glad that she had remembered to run to the store. She winced as she began peeling off skin and fat. That was the one thing she hated about cooking. The feel of raw meat was just wrong. She could still remember the first time she had worked with raw meat in the kitchen; she had been 11 at the time. It had grossed her out so bad that she hadn't wanted to help with dinner again for almost two weeks.
She laughed at the memory; she may have gotten over it, but she still didn't like it. As she breaded the chicken, she began humming the tune she had only recently stopped playing. Before she knew it, the chicken was in the food was in the oven. After washing her hands, she sat down at the breakfast table. Taking a look around she nodded.
Yes, this will be much better.
