Hi, my name is Leffie and this is my third character. Something you should know about me is I've started writing many, MANY books, but never finished them.
Canon: The Faustus Legend (in a sort of mixture of all versions, including Marlowe, Goethe, and Gounod)
Custom Title: Sinner of the Seventh Degree
PHYSICAL
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Appearance: Damien has a slightly cold and calculated appearence. His dark eyes will stare into your soul if you look long enough, and even when you turn away they follow you. His sharp profile is easily recognizable from far away, and you'll always know he's coming from the sound of his feet. There is an ominous tone to it, but also a wildness about it. When he laughs it is a deep and maniacal bellow, and he always leans his head back with teeth bared. He is tall and lanky, and will bounce around like a jackrabbit when he's excited, and will creep like a cat stalking his prey when plotting. Will sometimes sport a devil-like beard.
Height: 6'0"
Body: Tall, lanky, but built.
Other distinguishing features: Darting eyes that could steal your soul if you let them. Bisexual.
Wardrobe: Usually wears nice suits, mostly black with maybe a red tie. Will occasionally scrap the tie, but always keeps his hands in his pockets when not in use. Wears a large gold ring with a red stone on his right middle finger. Will wear a fedora and a black coat when out and about in New York City.[/ul]
Play By: Joseph Fiennes
PERSONALITY
General personality: Damien isn't the kind of guy you'd want hanging around your kids. He's been described as a completely pyschotic madman by his enemies But that's just his true form. He'll put on an act for everyone, depending on what the personality of the person is. He will try to steal a innocent young lady's heart with the seduction of a Don Juan, or he'll fire a slew of profanities in rage at people who frustrate him, he will spread gossip about people he's jealous of, he will boast about his accomplishments to those uglier or less talented than he, he will flaunt his wealth in the buying of fancy sports cars to show off to the public, he will be quiet as a mouse and subdued when someone seems better than him at something, or he will place a woman on each arm and dine at the finest restaurant in town, and order the most he could possibly order, just for the sake of being able to.
Yes, his whole personality revolves around the seven deadly sins. He doesn't make it a point to. It just happens. It's in his nature, and he can't help it. However, on rare occasion, that unlucky soul will see what lies in his heart. When he is angered past the point of rage... he will snap. He will taunt you, torture, maybe even kill you. So I'd advise not to anger him. When he's ordered a hit by the mob, well, he's ruthless. He'll be completely sarcastic and act as if its nothing, when truly it kills him inside. But he gets the job done.
He is a wild soul, and has no shame. When you try to controll him, he'll just brush you off, or, depending on his mood, threaten you. He knows exactly what he does, but just can't control himself. He sees everyone as imperfect, and that the only way to truly be mighty and powerful is to live how he lives, and tries to influence everyone he meets to go his way. He's always plotting against you, or for you, depending on whether or not he likes you. You'll never be able to tell which it is though, so its best just to assume the worst, and try to get on his good side. When you see that cocky grin, you know somethings going to go down.
Beneath all this, all the rage and anger and sinfulness, he truly is a tortured soul. His drive to be successful was spurned from his lonely and troubled child hood, despite coming from a rich family. He won't lie and say he wishes his life hadn't been different, that he was born into the mob. If he hadn't been expected to fill the shoes of his father one day, been pushed so hard, his life may have been different. He thinks about this every day. But that won't change his ways, and he's going to continue dragging those around him down with him, until the end of his days.

BACKGROUND
Family: Samuel (father), Melanie (mother), Lucifer (brother, older)
Education: Private Catholic school until high school, then a private college that caters to the mob. NYU for 4 years, majoring in accounting.
Occupation: Investor, also occasionally is pressured to perform hits by his father.
Worst past experience: Almost being shunned by his family for choosing a life outside the mob. (ie: almost getting gunned down)
Best past experience: Making his first million.
Image: To the public eye, Damien is a wild child millionaire who is always on the front page, in a new scandal. People see him as a nuisance to society, but he doesn't care. There are those select few who see past this guise of his, and once they get to know him, he'll be a completely different person. Sometimes, on a really bad day, he can switch his mood so often you'll get whiplash. Of course, you don't want to be around when his mood switches to anger... It doesn't end well, and if it hadn't been for his connections with the mob, he would have gone to jail, maybe even the death sentence.
History: Damien was born into the mob. This isn't something he likes to talk about, even though everyone knows him as Samuel Talbot's wild son. He tries to forget about his past, but it always catches up with him when his brother or his father needs him for a hit. Only his mother understands his pain when he does dealings with the mob, but she's too scared of his fater that she does nothing.
He was born Catholic, but hasn't stayed that way. He formerly went to a Catholic school, and truly did believe in God. But then his father introduced him to the business. He couldn't believe that any God would sanction killings, robberies, and all these terrible things just for the sake of tradition. He began to rebel against his religion and family duties, instead focusing his future. He knew what he wanted. He wanted to be a millionaire, and get out of this hellhole his father called "home."
He studied all areas equally, and was accepted into NYU full expenses paid. By the time he entered college, he had become so far from what his father had invisioned that he almost disowned him, ordering a hit on him after things got too out of hand, but his brother wouldn't let him. Damien retreated on himself in a way afterward, and wouldn't speak to his family other than Lucifer for a while.
Over time, he became more shameless and more eager to please himself. He realised with glee that things could go his way if he just didn't care. If he cared so much, he would end up as tight lipped and stiff as his brother or father, and he didn't want that for himself. He threw away his inheritance and earnings from odd jobs into investments into large cooperations after he graduated college (with a degree in accounting). Luckily, he earned all his money back ten times over, and is now a millionaire.
Letting himself not care made him gain this personality, as described above. His mother is truly the only one who can stand him now, that has known him for years at least. Oh sure, he'll charm the ladies, and occasionally the men, but deep down his family knows that he's bad for the business. Truly, though, he always just wanted to be free from the mob. He does think every once in a while for other people, caring enough to be concerned when need be, but really, he just wishes he could be happy. He sees these expensive houses, fancy cars, and young ladies as him gaining happiness, but sees that he needs something more. He'll do anything to obtain it.
Which means his family can always get him to do a hit, or help out one of their clients. He prefers to do the good work, even though he's not good himself. It amuses him, as well as satisfying his waning happiness for a little while. He wishes that the world would just fall back to being truly good and holy, and if it did, he might just start acting up, and maybe even believe in God.
But as of now, his life consists of girls, cars, wine, and making a scene. Or in the rare instance, a kill. Sometimes he can't control himself, and his brother once caught him murdering a girl just for poking him. Luckilly Lucifer was there. His brother was always there, and while he didn't exactly like him for choosing the mob, he could always count on him. He usually will only take a job from the mob if it comes from his brother himself.
Today he is trying the best he can to stay sane. Who knows, maybe he's wrong in this life-style he lives. But he can't really choose it, since his personality won't allow it. He does try, deep, deep down in his heart. He just takes it one day at a time.
THE SAMPLE
In Character Sample:
"Ring around the rosies, a pocket full of posies, ashes to ashes..." Damien said. He strolled at a casual pace, hands behind his back, chin up, staring down at the tattered man. He walked around him in a circle, his steely gaze making the person shiver with fright. "Isn't that how it goes, dear? It's about the bubonic plague you know. What absolute fun."
"Please, don't hurt me! I'll pay, I swear!" the man begged through a coughing fit.
"Oh, you'll pay, Mr. Smith. Don't you worry about that." He stopped behind Smith and flicked a bit of lint off the man's dirty coat before examining his nails. "I'm just baffled by the fact that you thought we wouldn't find you."
"Please, my wife is sick! I--I can pay in small amounts, each month! I need the money for her hospital bills... Please... Have mercy."
Damien gave a cocky laugh. "Ha! Mercy, that's rich. Like Mercy is my middle name or something." He walked in front of the man, bending down to look him in the eye. "Your wife can pay her own bills. She's rich enough. You asked us to provide you with valuble assistance in the murdering of your wife's lover. We produced. Now, we expect you to pay."
"I'll pay! I'll pay however much you want! Please don't kill me!"
Damien smirked, standing back up. "Oh, Mr. Smith. Don't you know? It's not money we're after. You were supposed to destroy one of our enemies. He is now half-way across the world in exile. You must still pay, whether you like it or not. A life for a life."
He walked back behind him, grabbing his shoulders and rubbing them in a monstorous way. He bent down to whisper into the man's ear. "And we all. Fall. Down."
He snapped his neck.
Damien sighed. "Damn I'm good." He rolled his eyes. "Dad's not getting another one of these for a while." He stepped over the body in disgust, and walked off.
