Julia Childs has to be my hero. She wasn't like everyone else physically and I can relate to that. I'm a 17 year old girl and I am 5'10" and growing everyday. She changed cooking for the world and made it accesible to the common person. And, as someone who loves to cook and watch cooking shows, I am very grateful. I have similar hopes in one day refining the current education system of American and making it more friendly to everyone, not just people who can test well.

Probably a cross between Sci-fi and War genre. Sci-fi genre on account of things on Planet Alex being far from existential and War genre due to the fact that my home is a war-zone. *wags fist at Totalitarian dictator of a mother* -.-
If you had to pick one actor or actress to portray you in a film about your life, who would you choose and why?

It's a toss up between Emily browning and Ellen page, only because the look very similar to me and I'm all about the actor looking like the character!
alright, Harry Potter, does Harry annoy the hell out of you, or is it just me?

Shakespeare's Richard III. How did you not see that coming? I love how he revels in his plots and plans, and his wordplay is luff. I wish I could be as eloquent as him. D: Although I have to say Norman Bates comes close second. I LOVE HIM. <3

A Disney character from a surprisingly unpopular Disney film. Spot Conlon from The Newsies. The man is the shiz.
MC Hammer or Sir Mix-a-lot?

I deplore the character of Harry. And Ron. But I love Neville and Mr. Arthur Weasley.
How much importance do you place on body language when meeting someone for the first time?

Oh, yes, love them as well. But I digress. Harry's a hero in my books.
I place a certain degree of importance on body language when I meet someone for the first time, but it doesn't mean everything. Certainly the most important thing is that they have a good personality that I can click with. I like it when a girl or guy can really hold themselves. Of course, I won't dislike you or reject you if you slouch or something, that's a bit ridiculous. But body posture is important, just like gestures and actions. A lot of communication is conveyed through it.
What song do you listen to to pump yourself up?

I was going to be all generic and schtuff with “Eye of the Tiger”, what with Rocky and whatnot, but I’ll be slightly less generic and say “I Ran” by A Flock of Seagulls. It’s got that nice 80’s synth-pop feel and works to pump me up when I go for a jog. I guess the title of it works for my run as well. If you had to choose a song to represent you, what song would it be and why?

[/s] [/joke] at the risk of sounding cliche, i will say 'la vie boheme' from rent. it is just a big 'fuck you' song to everyone that doesn't like you for being you. and that can describe me pretty well i think because more that anything i like being me and anyone that doesn't like it.. well.. i won't say anything. xD same question.[/ul]

Definitely “No Rain” by Blind Melon. It’s a song dealing with depression, staying true to yourself, finding beauty and peace in the simplest things (rain), dreaming of love, and the hope that one day someone will come along that accepts you for who you are. The jubilance of the song almost trivializes the subject matter, but it’s still profound regardless. Shannon Hoon hacked my un-born brain and wrote this song. Also kind of cool, but not nearly as relevant, this song was re-released the same month and year that I was born. Alex=“No Rain” ;D Music says a whole lot about you, so same question.

"Lay it Down Slow" by Spiritualized. It's a song about fixing the person you love:
if you've got pain in your heart why don't you share it with me? and we'll just wait and see if it's half of what it used to be
And I tend to try and fix people and fix things. I'm a natural born caregiver.
Same question.
