So...Watson got Dallas in jail, and Sherlock comes to gloat. Maybe after Sherlock leaves, Ricky comes in and drops the charges against Dallas. Presumably after this, the Ricky/Holmes confrontation would kick off? Or would this be after it?
Tichy and I were planning; Eddy dies, Holmes begins investigating in secret, Eddy has his funeral, Holmes confronts Ricky. Would freeing Dallas happen before the funeral and confrontation? Or would this happen after the funeral but before the confrontation?
/hopes that makes sense XD

Well the gloating thing and the ricky thing doesn't have to happen consecutively But we can do it that way too. And when this happens depends on when richard formulates the plan. He could get the dally thing all lined up before confronting Holmes...or he can do it afterwards. I guess its up to him. And the reason why it'll be good to put dally in jail is because he can sit there for how ever long as it takes for the Holmes/Ricky plot to play out, and when Richard decides to use him, he'll be right there Everyone knows where he is.

Consecutive, not consecutive...doesn't matter to me. I just wrote it so it seemed consecutive. I'm making no sense this evening. XD
Richard is not expecting to be confronted by Holmes; the funeral happens and he's feeling everything's all fine and dandy...then Holmes comes to confront him, having discovered he killed Edward. But you know this, methinks. Anyway...it may make sense, in light of this, that he sets Dally free after this confrontation, as he'll be using him against Holmes. However, he'll have dug up dirt on Holmes before the confrontation as he suspects the detective as a potential thread to his plans and seen Dallas Winston is in Holmes' list of wanted criminals (as well as in news clippings Holmes has collected of him), and therefore may have set Dallas free before the confrontation also.
Tichy, any thoughts?

What about my thoughts? What if I don't want to catch Dallas? if you mean catching him in the current thread, me and Tichy did discuss reasons as to why Jay wouldn't catch Dally. Then again, if you did mean catching in that thread, perhaps he doesn't...'cause then it'll give me something to do with Jay for a bit...I dunno...

No i mean like eventually...you can catch him. Not in the current thread. Because Sherlock is indisposed, you'll have to take care of it, and I'm thinking you can eventually succeed in that, sending Dally off to jail. But no, not in the current thread. In the current thread, Dally gets away. Does that make sense?
