Do you like plotting long term plans for your characters? Like, do you have a place where you'd like to see them, plot wise, in the future? Sometimes its good to do that, since you have a goal you're working towards in all your RPs. But it's also valid not to want to plan out your characters that much. Are you one of those people? You just kind of want to wing it and see what happens? Which one are you and why? And if you have long term plans (that isn't top secret )...lets hear them!

Although I do like to see where the roleplays will take my characters, Richard definitley has some long term goals he hopes to achieve. As an amazing teacher once told me; 'Goals are dreams with deadlines'. And boy, does Richard have some crazy aspirations. XD
In the long term he hopes to become Mayor of New York City. But there are people who stand in his way, and people he needs on his side to help him get there...will he succeed? I'll say no more.

Post by THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO on Apr 26, 2010 19:12:31 GMT -5
In my case, it's usually less a question of whether I have long-term plans for my characters-- and more a question of whether they have long-term plans for me... I'm currently working on a few possible situations to put Monte Cristo in. I know I want to test him, to push his limits and see how he responds. I haven't completely determined how I'm going to achieve that end. I am open to ideas. Chase (because I cba to switch accounts just to post this for him) is already on a pretty solid path to self-destruction, so for him it'll probably be a matter of just sitting back and watching how things unfold.

Yes. I'm nuts.
Well, I don't know if some of the schemes I hatch for my characters are just daydreams or whether they will actually happen someday, but I do think about them. For example, I have a character on another site named Desirée Landry. I created her when she was 15, and now she's 18 and a half. A love interest plot has developed extensively, and sometimes I find myself having dreams about the two eloping or what the names of their children will be (FYI, Nathanael Henri Lucien Chevalier and Aimee Giselle Chevalier). So yeah. I definitely think about the long-term with my characters.
As far as my RC characters? Hmm. I would love to get a deeper plot going between 'Ponine and Mercutio, and I'd love to see what happens when Marius enters the scene. I want to know how she will react when that happens. At the end of Les Mis, she dies, but I don't know how or when I want that to happen, let alone if I want it to happen at all! Oh, and if anyone ever takes claim of Claude, having some interaction between father and daughter would be great. As for Bunny? I would need an Egeus, maybe. But if not, I would love to find a love interest for her to help her move on after Egeus (it would take a lot of work! Beware!) So yeah. That's what I've got in mind. ^.^ [/blockquote]

Your wish is my command Éponine EDIT: Long term plans I have are related to the canon, as Puck expressed. I also want to have Mimi leave heroin behind for good. There might be a thread when she has a complete melt-down and a few characters might be involved with that, mainly Rent characters but any other friends or people she knows might be involved. For Mercutio...it's continuing that twisted relationship he's got with Benvolio, that weird friends with benefits thing they've got going now until the relationship with Éponine becomes a bigger thing. Mercutio will release Ben from his torment then.

The only long term plans I have for either Monks or Puck are those based in, or roughly around, canon. Like, Monks is going to searching for his baby brother Oliver, and Puck'll be fulfilling duties for her beloved Oberon figure. Since neither of those two are being played, it frees my characters up for loose ended interactions with these lovely people here who do exist.

*Rubs hands together* This is gonna take some mulling.
Sherlock; I've got one or two things brewing for him. He's got himself a case or two to be working on - so he hasn't slid into a self-destructive warpath as of yet. He hasn't a reason, ohh wait, I lie - theres Irene. Holmes loved her once, forced her away when they broke up, now that she's back is beating back those feelings with a big stick. So thus will follow a rollercoaster on/off romance with 'the woman'. Then there's darling Watson, as I'm aware there is a little something being conjured up. But in the meantime its just basic interation, and drinking. I would love for Sherlock to complete a case, and between then be given an intellectual challenge.
Henry; oh Henry Henry Henry. I have wicked things in mind for you, my gentle love. So far the majority have taken a shine to the mild-mannered Irish boy, and I intend for that to be greatly rattled. He's going to get close to one or two, and boy oh boy when the plans are through there'll be so much angst we'll have to padlock it. I'd like, not neccasarily need, for him to fall in love with some poor unsuspecting lass, just to height those apprehensive depressions when they come about.
Belladonna; her base instict right now is the protect Oliver and pass University. Her social life isn't her biggest priority, but I'm hoping that will be altered when she meets some people. No solid plans as of yet.

*copies Ricky's plotting motions*
I have a really cool idea for Eppie now. Like I said, she dies at the end of Les Mis, but I'm almost certain that I DO NOT want that to happen. I love her too much. I think she really needs a chance to redeem herself. In the canon, people have agreed that she goes to commit suicide alongside Marius. Well, I think that's how she will make it seem to people, but I believe that she will in fact FAKE her suicide. Maybe she does actually get shot, I don't know, but she will survive and go to the hospital. Once she recovers, she will use the money that she has stored up to create a whole new identity for herself. She will apply for American citizenship, change her name, and leave her past behind. As for what happens after that? I have absolutely no idea. ^.^ But I'm so excited! [/blockquote]
