Hi, my name is Maggie/writersblock242 and this is my First character. I found this site through Jenny, the girl who plays Ponyboy--a lovely person, she is. Something you should know about me is I’d like to call myself and expert on fifties/sixties culture, fashion, slang, and music. Yes, I am the girl that sits watching movies, screaming “ANACHRONISM”.
Canon: The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
Custom Title: The Jet Set life can really kill you
PHYSICAL
Age: Eighteen
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Height: If he slouched as a normal teenager would, he’d only be about 5’10”, but his impeccable posture allows him to take advantage of the Sheldon height of exactly 6’1”.
Body: Bob has a very good build and the wide female population of his school especially enjoys eyeing said build.
Other distinguishing features: He’s got a very strong, defined face.
Wardrobe: When at school, he wears very expensive, designer jeans and designer polo shirts. At home, however, he's much more formal. Suits, usually with no tie, but instead, a sweater over his collared shirt. He likes things to be clean, fashionable, and expensive looking. He owns a Letterman jacket that he wears to school everyday until it gets too warm. Bob wears three rings divided among his hands. One, being his class ring. The other two are one his grandfather gave him and a championship ring. [/ul]
Play By: Sean Faris
PERSONALITY
General personality: Bob is a natural born leader and therefore is a leader. He’s got a devoted group of followers and a small fan club consisting of intermediate school girls. He is the captain of the football team and the star running back. He is also the captain of the debate team which has become cool because Bob and his friends are on it. He is very charming and strong which really makes people follow him.
Bob is very smart and manipulative, he enjoys making people do things they don’t want to do. He likes to make people believe that they are liked by him when in reality, he can’t think of one person he truly likes.
Quotes, frequently used expressions: “Of course.” “Don’t worry your pretty little head about it.”
Likes:
Dislikes:
Strengths: Just about everything, but specifically physical strength, math, and public speaking.
Weaknesses: Being genuine, sitting still, and interpreting poetry.
BACKGROUND
Family: Bob lives with his father and mother, Charles Robert and Patricia Lucille Sheldon. He is an only child and would like to keep it that way. His father served as the District Attorney for three four-year terms before retiring when Bob was seventeen. Although he is a strong public figure and lawyer, Charles is a timid person. Patricia is a timid person as well, but escapes her problems by drinking margaritas in the Bahamas.
Education: Bob is very close to the top of his class and is planning on attending Yale after he graduates.
Occupation: Bob is currently unemployed, but after college, will get a job in politics.
Worst past experience: When Bob was seven, he walked in on his father and his father’s mistress having sex.
Best past experience: His second time with Cherry at fifteen. He’d slept with other girls before, but when Cherry finally relaxed, she was the best he’d ever had.
Image: Other people see Bob as a leader. There is no in between with Bob, you either adore him or hate him.
History: Bob was born shortly after his parents got married. They didn’t plan on having kids because both of them agreed that they couldn’t handle a kid. It turns out, they really couldn’t.
Bob’s first eleven years were spent with a nanny who gave him anything he wanted. The only memories Bob has with his parents as a child were going to parties and various other formal events. When he turned twelve though, his parents had this guilty revelation and devoted almost all their time to making sure their “Bobby” was happy. Of course, he wasn’t so he started to do stupid things just to make them see him instead of “Bobby”.
His parents never told him no or yelled at him. The nanny was very lenient as well and Bob could do almost anything under her watch. This continued throughout his life so, even now, Bob continues to try to ruin the family name—if only a little bit. Luckily, his father is very good at covering things up. His parents thought it was their fault that Bob broke rules and laws. They always blamed themselves out of guilt for not being good parents.
THE SAMPLE
In Character Sample: Bob hated driving through East Windrixville, it wreaked of cigarettes and cheap alcohol. It didn’t help that every few street corners, his car would either get things thrown at his car, or he’d get propositioned by some scantily clad girl with too much make up on. If only they’d just knock down this part of Windrixville, Bob mumbled.
He couldn’t stand how disgusting everything was. His friends’ parents told him that it was because those people were too lazy to get a job and make themselves at least a small asset to society. Of course, they were too ignorant to understand what the word “asset” or even the word “ignorant” meant.
The stoplight that was spray painted purple was Bob’s light at the end of the tunnel .He recognized it. It meant that in two turns, he’d be back to his part of Windrixville. His side had a standard to keep up—which meant no trash on the sidewalks or scrawny toddlers running about in the streets.
Bob was definitely going to go take a shower when he arrived home. Any visit to the east made him feel filthy and nauseous. He gripped the steering wheel tightly and sped up the car, silently hoping that he’d run over one of the loud brats running in and out of the street.
