PERSONALITY
General personality: Cherry is a very loveable person, almost like a mother to everyone. She knows how to stand up for herself and others in situations that tend to bother her. Cherry knows wrong from right and tends to use it in everyday life, always thinking before she speaks or acts. She isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in and to be an outcast for it. Cherry excells in her studies only letting small things distract her such as boys or gossip, which is quite normal for the average teenage girl.
As every person in the world, Cherry has fears. Her fears can range from rational to irrational such as a fear of insects to falling off a cliff. Though Cherry has a large dislike for most insects she doesn’t become petrified at the sight of them, spiders on the other hand she will not move an inch until she can no longer see it. As a young girl Cherry has several goals that can be life changing such as becoming an author and getting married with children when she’s of age. Whatever the achievement is though, Cherry always supports herself and those around her.

Strengths: Cherry‘s strengths are her family, her writing and her friends.

BACKGROUND
Family: Two parents that are still living; Mary-Ann and Wilbur Valance
Education: In high school and looks forward to going to collage to pursue her goal of becoming a teacher or author.
Occupation: Cherry doesn’t work as of the moment but is constantly looking for a place to send her stories to in order to bring in a little money for herself instead of depending on her parents.
Worst past experience: Her grandmother passing away at the age of four.
Best past experience: The brilliant smiles on her parents faces when she brought home an A on her story that she had written for English class.
Image: A quiet girl who looks to be very confident in herself. When you know her better though it is easy to find that she is not as quiet as she seemed.
History: Cherry was born to very excited parents, more than happy to welcome a beautiful, little girl into her home. She was showered with love and gifts, as Cherry grew older she pushed away from her parents slightly with the excuse that she was being ‘smothered.’ Her reasons were quite simple, which could also be categorized as normal teenage reason, but for Cherry they were more serious. Constantly being hounded by her parents with questions such as ‘Where are you going?’ ‘With whom?’ ‘And when will you be home, young lady?’, it began to be too much for her to bear. The teenager began to spend more time with the Socs to get away from Mary-Ann and Wilbur, creating a small friendship with them.
The Soc’s did not influence Cherry completely, fortunately, although she did find love and lust inside one particular boy, Bob Sheldon. Many boys at the school had crushes on the red haired beauty though Cherry had settled on Bob. After a year or so of being with the other boy Cherry began to notice changes and those changes were things she did not like. With a heavy heart she ended things with Bob, still refusing to let the group she was with influence her. Shortly after the break-up, the girl began to get a mind of her own and stand up for things she believed in, sometimes going against her own group to protect someone else. She was close with all her friends though they were confused as to why she didn’t follow with everything they did.
Cherry soon found the perfect friend in Marcia, the only other person she shared her writings and such with. The two were as thick as thieves, almost like sisters whom were separated at birth. The teenager focuses on her writing and studies while just living life knowing that at any moment is could be over.
THE SAMPLE
In Character Sample:
Cherry rubbed the sides of her arms, nights were always cold here it seemed and her sweaters were never thick enough to keep her warm. A smile was on her lips as she turned to look at Marcia. ”That was an excellent movie, thanks for getting me out of the house.” she told the girl, ”I needed a few hours out of there.”
”Of course,” Marcia replied to the girl, ”everyone was starting to think you died.”
Cherry frowned a bit, everyone, that consisted mostly of their ‘group’ at school. They always wondered about her and the girl was beginning to tire of it. Wasn’t there a day she could have without everyone wondering where she was or why she was doing whatever she was doing? When you were with the Socs you were never out of their mind, they currently wondered where you were.
”Right,” she said as they stopped in front of Cherry’s house. ”Well, my parents must be waiting up for me. Night, Marsh.”
The redhead hugged her best friend quickly before hurrying up the stone steps into her home.
