Cathy's car crawled through New York traffic. Anyone with half a mind knew it was stupid to try and drive through Times Square, or anywhere near it. Especially at this time of night. Everyone was stepping out of the dullness of the day to day to bathe in the city's light. Cathy was no exception. She loved these nights. She wanted to absorb as many of them as she could in her lifetime. Impatient as she was, there was also something very comforting about watching the city around her through the tinted glass. It made her feel like she had her own private world within the city. Even so, she was more than eager to step into the chaos of the city again.
As she rolled to a stop, Cathy ran one hand through her long, dark hair, ensuring it was tousled just so before stepping onto the red carpet. At the end awaited a glitzy new restaurant, which promised her a very large glass of red wine, but first she had some work to do. Alexander Mcqueen was paying her a considerable amount to walk the red carpet ad toss the company name around. Not to mention the sum she would be collecting from the restaurant just for showing up and going inside. It was nights like this she regretted nothing in her life.
As she smiled, pouted, twisted and turned for the camera's Cathy made sure to keep a close eye on who else was arriving. She would never miss an opportunity for some social networking of her own accord if she could help it. Her eyes were peeled, and mouth poised to make any number of charming and witty comments. She was good at what she did. Though Cathy was still very much an untamed little girl, Cathy had learned how to channel her energies, for the most part. Some things would never change.
