Harry nodded at Richard's response, letting it sink in. He knew that this was true and it was why Harry's new idea would work. It had to. The only way to get the truth was to force Claudius into it. He had to make him feel as if his lies were coming to haunt him, and if he was truly guilty of something, if he really had a hand in Hamlet's death, it would be plainly obvious - especially to Harry. A word and a look, thats all he needed. But Harry knew deep down that this wasn't a case of "if" Claudius had something to do with his father's death. He just couldn't - in sound mind - admit it without that all important proof. And Harry will get it.
"You're right," Harry said. "They will." It was clear Harry was miles away in his own thoughts at that point but after a blink, he was back in the room. He smiled. "I should get going." Because if he was going to set things in motion, he better do it now before he changes his mind.
"It was a pleasure as always talking with you, Mr. Plantagenet. I do hope that everything turns out okay with you and your sneaky political counterparts," Whoever they may be. He stood and went over it in his mind one more time, thinking about which people have been close to Hector and one name popped up in his head - a bit late, sure, but it made sense. He remembered Claudius supporting Hector through his campaign.
Well, looks like this little plan will work well for the both of them. He didn't need to say this to Richard - no need to get him thinking that Harry was somehow invested in his political games - because he wasn't. Richard had his own agendas, no doubt, but it didn't hurt to have a common enemy. They didn't need to diabolically discuss it either - keeping this a little unspoken secret was good enough.
Harry extended his hand, giving him a knowing look. "I'm sure we'll run into each other again."
(OOC- we can get that harry/claudius thread going, the one i have the plot idea for *shifty mischievous eyes* )
