Harry approached Jane's room carrying flowers - no not the most creative 'hey get better' gift in the world but all his innovative energies were going into how to make Claudius admit to his guilt. No he hadn't done much of anything yet. Actually, that was a lie, he had done something, mainly research - entering into something he had no clue about and never thought he'd ever investigate. But yet he did and funny enough, it was relatively easy for a man of his wealth to get involved in the things he was researching. Not surprising.
But he heard Jane had been admitted to the hospital, and although Harry was completely engrossed in perfecting his plan, he knew he needed to pay her a visit. Unfortunately, for someone who he was dating, she wasn't exactly a high priority - because really, how he didn't know about what happened the day Jane was admitted was baffling. This confirmed it - Harry was a terrible boyfriend. Flowers definitely wasn't going to fix that. Then again, its nothing he didn't already know. Harry's mind simply wasn't in a healthy enough place to handle his own issues, much less anyone else's. He didn't even know why he entered this relationship with Jane (outside of being attracted to her) to begin with, knowing full well it would fail. Him doing so was a completely selfish act, this he knew. The funny thing about it was that Harry held Jane with the utmost respect - she didn't deserve him.
If only Jane knew what she was getting into when she signed up to date Harry of all people.
Unfortunately, however, it appeared as if she had more serious concerns. He talked to a nurse before heading to Jane's room and found out she had meningitis. Harry couldn't believe it. Maybe there was some sort of curse on him - because from all outward appearances, death just followed him. Jane was one of the lucky ones. The thought of her dying made Harry want to break up with her for her own sake - that's right, before their relationship even really got started. Of course, he wasn't actually going to do that to her, not now, not after what she's been through. Perhaps the thought of doing this would be fleeting, given the fact that Harry had a lot more things going through his mind.
He reached the door, which was half open - he heard voices talking but didn't take the time to figure out who the voice belonged to. He knocked on the door as he stepped in side the room. When he saw who was there, he paused. Claudius. Should have known.
Ugh.
He really didn't want to put on a mask at the moment, he was already exhausted. Perhaps his lack of sleep would help him in this situation - because unfortunately he didn't have much of a choice but to act erratic if he wanted Claudius to believe his game. He also was aware that Claudius probably didn't know the two were dating - unless Jane told him already.
"Hi, hi, sorry for interrupting," Harry said to the two men, before heading straight to Jane. "Jane, I'm so sorry for not getting here sooner." He placed the flowers on the table next to her bed and went right to her bedside. He then took her hand and kissed it affectionately. "And I'm so glad you're okay. I brought you flowers but they're not just any flowers. They're multi colored. I would say they're like the colors you use for your work but its not true. Those flowers are psychedelic and can come no where near close to your work. Just know that. Take a look at those and you should feel better. Just like - " he snapped his fingers. "That. "
He looked at the two men in the room. "No surprise Jane has a room full of men with her. She's amazing." he looked at Erik. "I've heard of you - know of you. You wrote that musical, ugh, what was it called." He rubbed his forehead with his thumb and index finger as if he were having a headache. "Nevermind. I know it was amazing. My memory sometimes escapes me, but my uncle sure doesn't." he looked over at him with a grin. "You can't escape kin, can you? How are you both?"
