Okay, so I'm in a bit of a conundrum. Basically, my Erik muse is kaput, when it SHOULDN'T be. I've got a few options to turn to, but I can't make up my mind. I'll explain them to you and you can vote which you like best. I'm also thinking of changing his playby back to Ralph Fiennes, but I'm not sure yet.
OPTION #1
I revert Erik back to the way he was when I first created him.
He would be broody and a closet genius, and well... Basically just read his original application, which you can find here.
OPTION #2
I do the idea I thought of originally, and that's make Erik into a highschool music teacher. He would have a huge bipolar complex that he medicates for, and he'd still look like death with prosthetics. He would have been high class in that he had one opera premier at the Met, but that's about it. He made it anonymous. He would usually be very shy and subdued, but when he forgets to take his meds, all hell breaks loose.
OPTION #3
I thought of this one while I was coming back from my Christmas vacation with the family, and it goes like this. Erik wasn't born with the face of death, but he was born with a huge gash in the left side of his face. He has a handsome right side (think ALW stage show, but not really), but I was thinking something like if you've ever seen the Dark Knight, and you saw two face? Yeah, the way his mouth is with the pulled up skin and showing the teeth easily, and part of the jaw with no skin, that'd be it. He would wear a surgical mask that he twirls to cover just that side of his face. This Erik would be literally crazy, in that he talks to himself and sees things, and he lives underneath an old vaudville theatre that is now a jazz bar. He has a piano down there and plays, and people think he's a ghost. He would be high class in that he inherited his parents money when they died, and his parents would have been wealthy socialites who hated their son and how ugly his mouth was. He was ignored for his more loved little sister (who could possibly be an OC? ) and turned to music to get away from their taunts and jeers. His face is inoperable, sadly. Perhaps the deformity also stretches to the nose a bit, and half of it is a hole, but its not as bad as his mouth. He wouldn't be medicated, and he would only go out for food and at night, to play his violin. His grandmother was perhaps an opera singer, and that's where he gets it from? He would have extreme violent tendencies and would only be a gentleman in what he reads in [old] books, and would definitely not know any right from wrong.
OPTION #4
If you have another idea, vote this one and explain in a comment, or if you just want to give me more ideas to support the ones I've done, then feel free to leave a comment that way.
I'm leaning towards option three, but I'm not sure. There's still a lot I need to flesh out.
