I've been considering changing Richard's playby for some time now, even though the ideal time for change has been and gone (the revamp of the site) and lots of reworking would have to go into his history. As much as I adore Sir Ian McKellen, I've recently felt like playing Ricky a bit younger - more true to history and canon. Because I'm finicky like that.
I understand this will probably cause a bit of upheaval, considering Ricky is my staff picture at the top of the site and Sir Ian has been Ricky since the character was accepted way back in April 2010...hence why I'd like to see what everyone thinks before (or if) his playby changes.
Feel free to post your reasons for or against the change/playbys below. In fact, that would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks! -hugs and muffins-
Thanks Kay for all these playbys! (:

I voted no change lol Because...yeah for me I can't imagine anyone else playing Richard. Plus I, personally, feel its a big trend to play younger characters in general. I find it refreshing that you're able to play an older character so convincing and interestingly - and for so long. I love Richard just the way he is. But if you feel its time for a change, of course its your choice. If I *were* to chose any of the playbys - Daniel Day Lewis or Jason Isaacs seems like good choices. but im totally against Adrian Brody or Goran Visnjic playing Richard. They just dont...scream Richard at all to me (as much as I love Brody). Might I also suggest Jeremy Irons? (and no not cuz im a total fangirl for him He offers a "younger" air than Ian does, but he's not exactly young at all.

It's taken me yonks to get back to this but, although the votes are even (four for a playby change, four against a change) the fact the four for a change are split between two, plus the wise words of Yols and others mean that I have decided to keep Sir Ian McKellen as Rickyboy.
Thanks for the votes everyone! (:
