so, this is me:
I don't think I've ever done one of these before on RC and I'll probably make a few edits in times to come, but I thought I'd just blast on in here. The first time I was on this site I was the John Watson to Tichy's Sherlock Holmes ^_^ I even went on to start creating a second character, Dorian Gray...however, my life took me to one of it's darkest corners and, sadly, my activity waned and I had to let go of a lot of things in order to get passed everything.
I won't go into detail because it's pretty much over now and I returned, renewed and taking on my new character ^_^ I'm also in the process of creating a second character as well! that's how set I am on staying this time. if any site were to lose out if I had to fizzle out again, it will not be RC! you wanna know the extent of my dedication to my second upcoming character? it was my Hallowe'en costume last year :P
I would like to thank my delightful old house mate there on the right for taking that picture ^_^ I do have pictures of the Hat I made, but they're for another time :P and before anyone starts picking at me, I realise my contacts were the wrong colour and so was my hair for that particular Hatter, but check out that make up! (yes, I did it myself ^_^)
so, yeah...moving on...now, something that I brought back with me upon my return to RC was the nickname "Chess". that's right, folks, if you hadn't already guessed, "Chess" is a nickname :P I knew it was a distinctive one, so returning to a place I had already been with the same nickname, I knew I would get noticed by those who had been here when I was last here ^_^ my proper name is Danielle.
"Chess" is one of a few nicknames that I've had in my lifetime that has stuck and that I adore. Only one person outside of RC and NI call me "Chess" and it's the person that gave me the nickname ^_^ "Chess" is a shortened version of the nickname "Chester" that was started by my sister in the few months that led up to me starting University 4 years ago (yeah, thanks for that fail, sis -.-) and was given to me because at the time I vaguely resembled this guy:

vaguely! it was all to do with my sister's crazy brain and how I'd had my lip pierced -.- oh, an my glasses too >_< (just to clarify, that picture is Chester Bennington...) anyway, the "Chester" nickname thankfully fizzled out (it took like 2/3 years of University life to try and get rid of it...though it was useful when I wanted to get rid of the creepers at the pubs and clubs ^_^) and only a few people still call me that, even fewer people call me that since I graduated University in July.
YIPEE FOR ME! however, nothing about that image is flattering (don't judge meee!) and those two lovely folks be my parents ^_^ (both of who were having what we call in our house 'short days' as they're actually several inches taller than this shorty ^_^) I also might add that they made me change before I put my gown on! I was all settled in my Hufflepuff uniform and they make me change :( (granted, I found out in the following couple of weeks that I'm Slytherin, so...yeah...)
having a degree does not make finding a job easier and I'm learning that the hard way -.- however, I have actually had a little bit of luck on the job front yesterday (yesterday was just like a day for good things, I think ^_^) and, hopefully, could be settled into a new place very soon! even if I don't get that job, I will continue my search and remain faithful to my writing ^_^
