"What instrument did you play?" Mona asked, and Osric smiled, happy that she actually seemed to be warming up to him a little. Asking questions meant interest, didn't it? Of course, the girl quickly added, "Oh oh, let me guess! Was it a shoe box with rubber bands on it?" Still, it was sort of a cover up, he could tell. At least, he thought he could tell.
"No,"[/b] Osric said thoughtfully, thinking about when he had actually done that in first grade, "But I did play guitar. And piano. And lots of other stuff. It was fun. I miss it a lot."[/b]
Osric was pretty sure most people weren't so open about their feeling with strangers. but he was, and so what? He was, and it made things so much more honest. He didn't like liars. And Mona didn't seem like the type to hang back, really, at all, which was nice.
"Do you play any instruments?"[/b] Osric asked, curious.
