0II. body type slender and lanky.
III. height 5’ 6”
0IV. eyes color Blue
00V. descriptionWeena tends to dress in bulky and baggy clothing, always wanting to hide herself from the world, because she herself feels hidden within her large family. Rowena is very fair; light, pale skin, bleach blonde hair, and blue-gray eyes. She doesn’t wear much makeup other than eyeliner occasionally, but Weena’s generally pretty well-kept and clean. She blends into crowds and rooms of people as if she were just a shadow or even the floor, though she’s stark in coloring comparison to most people.
00I. overall personality Weena is known for her quiet and keep-to-self nature. She takes put-downs and bullying and doesn’t fight back. Weena’s the least talkative and involved in her family, as well as in school. This is mostly because of her family neglecting to acknowledge her much, because of her “issues”. It makes Weena want someone to be there for her, but she feels as though she’ll never get that. She once had a boyfriend whom she cared about deeply, but he broke up with her because of her silent and clingy nature. Weena tends to cling to one person and cares for them as if they were her family.
Weena likes to wander around the streets of new York aimlessly; having nothing better to do, it eases her sadness and loneliness because she feels surrounded by people (which, technically, she is). She feels lost often and doesn’t quite know her place in the world, and isn’t really trying to find it. Weena just wants a niche; some place she can fit in, be accepted and given attention.
Art and writing poetry are some of Weena’s hobbies. She generally likes painting with watercolors or sketching with charcoal or pastels. She has several notebooks filled with her poetry and continues to write them often.
0II. strengths Rowena cares deeply for the people she loves and treats them as if they were a part of her family. Being sweet and kind, most people would probably like Weena if she were more social.
III. weaknessesRowena is very quiet and often feels lost or alone, which is why she is clingy when she finds someone who likes her. She often argues with herself, and was diagnosed with slight schizophrenia.
0IV. goals Weena really wants some friends or someone who will just talk to her and accept her for her quietness. She’s also really like to get her poetry or art out in the New York world. Weena doesn’t really have a plan for her life, and she’s not thinking about it yet.
00I. notable family & friendsConsidering Weena doesn’t have any friends really, there’s only her family. Her sister, Aleya, supports her art and is the only one in the family who really talks to her.
0II. overall history Rowena Eloye was born on November eighteenth nineteen-ninety-four to her parents Devon and Bliss Eloye. She has three older siblings: Alek Eloye, age twenty-three; Harper Eloye, age twenty; and Aleya, age nineteen. She has two younger siblings as well: Clive Eloye, age fifteen; and Leigh Eloye, age twelve. Her mother tried to have one more child, but it was lost as a miscarriage. Weena was born and raised in new York; she went to elementary school where she was often neglected by the other children there. Her teachers worried about her, thinking she had some sort of problem at home and that was why she was silent. She sort of did, but Weena wasn’t being beaten or abused in any way, really. The teacher also noticed she’d talk to herself or argue with herself quietly. Her parents were alerted and she went to some therapy for a while but was pulled out because no progress was really ever made. But, Weena was diagnosed with slight schizophrenia, which had been suggested by her teacher and confirmed by the shrink.
Weena made it through middle school, but she had a tough time. Again the neglect from the students repeated, but she was bullied slightly as well. The teachers tried to help Rowena, but to no avail. Weena was secretly glad when her mother miscarried; another baby would have meant even less time for her. The end of seventh grade was when Weena started wandering the streets. It was when her parents really stopped paying attention to her, thinking of Weena as a helpless case. She’d leave after school and come home whenever, unnoticed by anyone but Aleya.
Weena made her way through high school quietly, still, with generally good grades. She ranges between high C’s and low A’s in her classes, so she brought no attention to her parents, grade wise. They were satisfied with the grades she got, so they left her alone. She likes to sit on the steps of the Met. With her sketch book or notebook and watch the people there. She stills does this, quite often, or she’ll go to the Park and look through the trees and wander around for inspiration. Art and poetry was and is Weena’s emotional outlet, which led to her wandering around.
III. sample postWeena escaped the grips of school right at three. She ran through the hallways, pushing through the crowd of students to reach her salvation: outside. Weena was headed for the Metropolitan, holding her sketch book tightly against her chest, her box of charcoal bouncing in her bag which hung upon her shoulder. Keep going, Weena. You’re almost out. she thought, pushing past the last small groups of people and breaking through the front doors of the school, the light outside hitting her pale face instantly. Weena stood on the steps in front of the school for a moment, looking around at all of the people walking to and fro. She continued on, though, walking swiftly down the stairs and through the streets of New York.
She pushed past even more people, walking swiftly down the sidewalk. Finally, her foot hit the first step of the Museum and Weena rushed up several of them to find an empty spot where she could sketch. Weena sat, pulling her little box of charcoal out of her bag and flipping her sketchbook open to a new page. Her fingers were already stained with black from how often she used the medium, but she didn’t care. The people… she thought, looking as the hordes pushed by. She began with small faces and bodies, sketching fast and ignoring those who looked as they passed by, entering or exiting the museum. A dark sky, some depressing buildings, that was Weena’s style. Dark, so dark… She smeared more of the charcoal into the sky, using her delicate fingers to swirl the shades, varying them from pure black to a light gray.
Weena looked up again, then back down, then up again at the New York scene. Quickly she put away her medium and flipped her sketchbook closed. She stood, pulling out her cell phone and checking the time, which seemed to slip away from her so easily now. It’s almost five, I have to go. Weena hurried, knowing the bus would be at the stop soon. She ran, as she often had to, and made it on-time, just as the bus pulled up. She hopped on, putting in her money, and then sat, waiting and watching as she made her way home. Aleya, I’m sorry…I’ve let you down again… she thought as the bus pulled away from the stop and went into motion, taking Weena and her thoughts home. .
