"Oh, I've been here for about three years now," Victoria said, glancing around and looking at her watch. Lestrade was suddenly aware of just how much he had basically forced her for a chat. Well. That had been rude of him. "I just noticed that I need to be heading home now, I have to get ready for some afternoon classes," she said. "Oh, I'm so sorry for holding you up," Lestrade said apologetically, giving her a guilty smile. "Would you care to join me on the metro?" "Ah, no, I'd better get going myself," he said. In truth, he really didn't have anywhere he needed to be at the moment, but he didn't want to hold Victoria up any more than he already had. He hoped that he hadn't made her late for her classes that she seemed to like so much. "I guess I'll uh, see you around, though," he said smiling. "It was nice to meet you." He held out her hand to shake before she hurried off. He felt like if he didn't return the politeness she had been giving him, even after his holding her up, than he was being terribly rude. OOC: This is more in character for Greg. But we can do a different thread with the two of them some other time :). [/sub][/b][/i]
