WHO AM I?

I'm Dr. John Watson. You dolt.

ARMY DOCTOR

Dr. John H. Watson is a bitter man, to put it lightly. Mostly because of his crippling wounds, but really, he just liked the war, and being pulled away from it isn't something he enjoyed. So he's mostly bitter when talking about Afghanistan and his wounds.

He's a brilliant doctor, very compassionate and caring. He'll get along with most people in his particular field, though he's not fond of policemen. He can be extremely sarcastic at times, but quiet and polite in others. He can be an honest man, and he can be a lying man, depends on what strikes his mood. He likes excitement, but doesn't get it much because of his wounds, so anyone wanting to spice of his life is extremely welcome!

He doesn't like criminals, and just plain evil people, though he doesn't notice himself sinning away when he gambles and spends money, and lies. He's broken the law a few times, but nothing too serious, and he's smart enough that he'll always get away with it. Maybe a friend to do mischief with, or perhaps a friend to keep him in line. Full on criminals are his enemy though.

JANE && JOHN

Jane has a thing for helping people out, especially people are pretty okay and are just being bogged down by something. I can totally see a friendship between these two being realistic and reasonable. I have no idea how they'd get to that friendship though.

JAMES && JOHN

I don't think these two are going to have anything to do with each other for a good while but I'd always be game for a thread between them. I don't think James would prey on John since he's too much like Seb but if you need someone to verbally spar with, James is your man.

HECTOR && JOHN

I have the feeling that these two would be kind of awesome as pals, I don't know why. They're both cynical, bitter, and sarcastic. I know Hector is a big bad guy but he hides it really well. Would John be his friend as long as he didn't know Hector was a mobster?

TOMMY && JOHN

Tommy's a bit of a loner and needs some friends. He's really, really mellow so I don't know if he and the mischeivous Watson would get along but he's open to plotting as well.

They weren't in the same war but as they're both injured veterans I get the feeling they would bond through their bitterness and experiences. I think they would have an interesting dynamic considering Richard's general dislike of people in the medical profession. =P

John & Holly

Holly needs more plots and I think she and John would get on well due to their shared compassionate and caring natures. She would probably see a vision of his past and that would appeal to John's like of the fantastical if he believes her.

Lady C and Claudius are up for plots as well, though I have specifics in mind for them and John at present.

@kay-I like the idea of him and Hector being friends. Does Hector still go to his bookstore after becoming mayor, or no? If he does, maybe they can meet there? Don't know about everyone else, and we've already discussed Jane and John. I'm sure we'll have tons of fun plotting now that we have a SHERLOCK! 8DDDD

@ness- I like both those ideas! I can so see him and Ricky being friends. One cripple to another, you know? And maybe Holly's parents bring her to the hospital because they think she's crazy, and he meets her? I dunno.

Henry and John
From one doctor to another, "Jolly good show!" I think these two would get along quite swimmingly. They both seem rather reserved and exceptionally good at their work. Perhaps they met at a conference or something and occasionally meet for a coffee and a chat about the latest medical miracles and such. Would be nice for them to have someone to talk to about their stressful jobs.

Update: Since I've come back to RC, I'm retconning John's history, so he hasn't met anyone yet. If anyone would like to plot with him now, feel free! Same personality, but he's Jude Law now.

Hey! You know who my boys are, so feel free to choose whoever you like! As for ideas:

Lestrade - Well, like you said, he could be called in to be consulted as a medical official. However there's usually people specific for that, so John would've had to been conveniently at the crime scene or something. I can imagine they would quite like each other. It might be funny if Sherlock was there, or not.

Osric - Ah, my precious baby boy. He's a bit accident prone, so, Doctors. He'd probably be a lot more interested in how exactly the medical equipment worked than if he was bleeding excessively out of his face or something though, so it'd be a bit funny. He's also recently gotten a little bit of all the codeine he stashed up after his car crash, so John would notice that too probably.

Greg and John: I can kind of see John meeting Sherlock THROUGH Greg? We'll have to talk to Emmy about this of course... Hmm, I can imagine them bumping into each other and becoming friends, actually, maybe having a few drinks and watching the game on the telly... Well it will probably be American football, but I think if they're drunk they'll hardly know the difference. xD Maybe then Greg can know John and want to hire him on a case? And that's how Sherlock and John meet?

Osric and John: Well, I'm not sure about a future relationship between the two, but a nice meeting sounds lovely. He might frown upon him for his addiction, and maybe be a sort of fatherly figure (even though John's only 29, xD he acts older).

Greg and John - That'd be quite funny, actually! Sure, I'd be cool with that. We should all three talk about it sometime when we're all present at the c-box or, for once, gmail, at hte same time <laughs>.

Osric and John - Oh, no, I didn't mean a romantic relationship, if you thought that, sorry^^'. I just meant relationship as in... the acquaintanceship of two people. And yeah, maybe a bit fatherly, too; John acts older and Osric acts younger (most of the time). Anyway, I'd be happy to write that thread up any time, if you'd like that!

Welcome back to the site! I'm Tens and I'd love to offer my babies up for some threads!

Peter Aramis: Peter is a Detective, but he has the redeeming feature of being a bartender! He's a great listener and he pretty much likes everyone, as grouchiness and cynicism are lost on him completely.

As for Peter and John interacting, there are possibilities! As a bartender, Peter does a lot of listening and socializing, so if John is looking to talk or yell at someone or just pop in for a drink, Peter can manage that! And since he manages to give himself food poisoning often, suffers from chronic joint pain, never wears shoes, and has a dangerous job, John could have a new patient!

Zander Devereux: Zander is a CEO who has a zest for life and a poor memory for names and faces. He's very good with money and very charming, but sometimes a bit full of himself.

Zander and John would probably make for epic drinking/hanging out buddies. He is always up for adventure and could definitely tug John along with him; and if he's looking to make mischief, Zander is his man! He would get a kick out of how John seems to act and do whatever he feels like when the mood strikes him, as he is the same way. I am sure they would have some interesting adventures!

Siobhan Shaw: Siobhan is a young widow who models, DJs, and runs a charity to keep herself busy. She's kind and compassionate and likes to mother those around her who seem to need it.

I could see them being friends, even if she would try and mother John from time to time, and try to keep him on the straight and narrow in her own quiet way. I'm still bringing her to life and she definitely needs some interaction, haha.
