Hi, my name is Evan and this is my Second character.
Canon: Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Custom Title: We be nice to them, if they be nice to us.
PHYSICAL
Age:30
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Height: 5'8"
Body: slim and ragged
Other distinguishing features:
Wardrobe: Smythe often wears casual clothes that are often in disrepair, or are outright rags. He often has a dirty and ragged appearance. He carries his Bowie Knife, "Precious", in a sheath strapped to his leg.[/ul]
Play By: Michael Richards
PERSONALITY
General personality: Smythe seems to be the stereotypical "Crazy Homeless guy". He often mutters to himself and warily glances around as if he believes he is being pursued by something other people can't see.
He is a definite opportunist. If he sees an opportunity to swipe something, he will take it. He also would stoop to lying, violence and other unsavory means to get what he wants. This opportunism is also apparent in his diet. He isn't above rooting through the trash for food, or killing rats, pigeons, or stray cats for a quick meal.
He is addicted to a hallucinogen/narcotic produced and smuggled into the country by Sauron's Cult. However if he can't get his hands on any he will often find solace in alchahol, or cocaine, or the most readily available drug at the time.
Though he often eats garbage, and street animals he has a definite taste for hot dogs and eats them whenever he can.

History: Smythe grew up in Northwest Washington, in a small town near the Puget Sound. His childhood wasn't as easy as some, however it wasn't hard either. His childhood was filled with chores and playing with his older brother, Dennis.
Though once he reached his early teens he began to share duties in the family business, fishing. This continued until early one morning in the summer between his junior and Senior years in high school.
The day started out normal enough. Smythe and Dennis got up early in order to get the boat ready to go out. The voyage seemed to be going well, except Dennis kept touching a ring on his finger and checking a GPS device. Then Smythe spotted a small buoy floating off the starboard side. Dennis retrieved the buoy and opened it, revealing drugs and money. Smythe watched with astonishment when Dennis pocketed the money and set the drugs carefully into a the false bottom of a packing crate. Astonishment and horror grew into jealousy and reqeusts for a percentage of the money.
When Dennis refused, Smythe's requests grew to attempts at blackmail. They started arguing, which grew into physical violence. In the confusion, Dennis' ring fell onto the deck of the boat.
Eventually Smythe got a one handed strangle hold on Dennis, he grabbed the money with his other hand. He then backed to the other side of the boat and brandished his bowie knife as a warning. Dennis charged at Smythe, who dodged to the side and with his knife hand guarding him.
The knife slashed open Dennis' arm as he passed, unable to stop and fell into the sea. Smythe's last view of his brother, was his panicked face as he slipped under, only to be replaced by red water and shark fins.
Fearing repercussions, Smythe sailed down to San Fransisco, where he used the money to purchase a train ticket to Chicago. He only took his knife, the drugs, and Dennis' ring with him, the ring riding on his finger.
It was on the train ride when he first sampled the drugs which he soon grew addicted to. Once he reached Chicago his stash was gone, as were his hopes of selling the stuff in order to gain funds for living until he got a legitimate job.
He soon established himself in the lower echelons of the underworld as a pickpocket, burglar and knife in the dark. Those who knew of him feared him and avoided The "Gollum" as he was called, due to a cough he had developed from his drug use.
It was during this time when he encountered "Bilbo" Baines. Apparently Bilbo had been seperated from his group and ended up in a nearly abandoned bar near the waterfront. Smythe agreed to help "Bilbo"...if he beat him at Trivial Pursuit, otherwise he would just steal everything the man owned. Bilbo eventually won, and Smythe decided to just kill him and take his wallet anyways. However he had dropped his brother's ring, which he preferred to wear while he killed.
"Bilbo" escaped and Smythe suspected the man had his ring. He gave chase and was captured by members of a gang who were also involved with Saurons cult. He was then taken to New York and tortured by the cult for information regarding the disappearance of a shipment of drugs which were scheduled to come from Seattle.
Eventually Smythe escaped and he has been living in New York ever since.
THE SAMPLE
In Character Sample: Smythe crept through the alleys of New York. He wasn't hungry, as he had recently eaten a stray cat, however he needed another fix. But to get any sort of high he needed money.
"It burns oh how it burns. We need more. Yes we do, but we need money to get more."
He spotted a man sitting under a tree.
"And now we know where to get it." A smile crossed his face as he crept up to the tree.
"My Precious is thirsty she needs a nice long drink."
The knife flashed and soon Smythe was going through the corpse's pockets. He quickly found the wallet and extracted the twenty and hundred dollar bills.
"Now we can cool the fire in our veins, and perhaps we can get a nice hotdog much better than that stringy cat."
