-pokes thread title- ...Couldn't resist. This is Morag Macbeth, my newest murderer. Well...accomplice to murder. Yay! ;D Morag Macbeth is an actress and a mobster in NYC's Scottish mob (although the latter isn't exactly public knowledge). She's intimidating, ambitious, wealthy and powerful and its her ambition which made her push her husband into murdering a mob leader (again, not public knowledge). This in mind she can be seen as frightening however, in her everyday life outside of the mob, Morag can be charming - she has to be with all the fans she has for her work in theatre. Friends: Throughout her life Morag has had few 'proper' friends, considering her years in a street gang in Scotland and her work for the mob here in NYC. However, now she has been in NYC for some time, she has made some friends in the theatre community and elsewhere and wouldn't mind others, if only to keep up an appearance of normality. She has also garnered a following throughout her years in theatre - currently starring as Mary, Queen of Scots in an off-Broadway production of Lochhead's 'Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off' she has had great success. Its likely if your character enjoys theatre they'll have seen her in some play or other. However, speaking of acting, she is well able to simply act charming as a means to an end, particularly where mob business is concerned. She can be difficult to get close to because of this - and at present she's a bit on edge due to the whole murder of Duncan fiasco she orchestrated. She'd rather people didn't bring it up, even if she can convincingly act as though she knows nothing. Its a pain. Enemies: It may be petty, but one of the things Morag really hates is not being understood. Due to her rather strong Scottish accent this can sometimes be a problem, and if you ask her to repeat something more than twice she won't be best pleased with you. On a more serious note, Morag also doesn't like when people ask about her past and if you keep bugging her about it she'll probably hit you - Morag has quite a temper (hurrah for redhead stereotypes!). On a related note, if you presume she's weak you'd be very wrong - I wouldn't mess with her, if I were you. She's a mobster. Lovers: In all technicality lovers are closed since she's, you know, married. However, this hasn't stopped her shamelessly flirting with others in the past, either in the name of mob business to find out information etc) or because she claims its for character development. Which character she's developing and for what play is a mystery. And what her husband doesn't know won't kill him. If you have any plot ideas for Morag and any of your characters, please let me know and I'm sure we can work something out.

I love your quippiness with the title, haha. Morag & Siobhan: These two I could see being friends. Siobhan grew up with a lot of gutteral Irish relatives, so she would understand Morag just fine. She also likes the theatre and contributes to various charities, so there is a lot of room for crossover. Also, Kay and I had some plans for Hector and Siobhan, so it would be amusing if they were friends who were affiliated to two different mobs. Morag & Zander: Honestly, I could see Zander hitting on her, married or not, haha. He's got no sense of propriety when he sees a pretty woman. Aside from that, you know him - big powerful CEO, so they might mingle at some of the more posh parties or something! Morag & Sunny: Probably a disaster waiting to happen. He'd just piss her off by asking her to speak English and repeat herself five or twenty times, comment on her acting, speaking, height...yeah, haha. He has no filter on the things he says. Oh! He could go see her play! He's one of those people who shouts at the TV, so you can imagine how he would be at a play. Oh, he would definitely ruin it. That could be fun! Morag & Peter: I currently have no ideas. Peter is the law, Morag isn't exactly lawful, haha. He does have a bad habit of sleeping with the wives of powerful people, so we could do something with that. Anyways, let me know if you have some ideas or like any of those!

Oh quips, I do love them! I also love all the ideas you have outlined here! XD Morag & Siobhan: I'm sure Morag will be very pleased that Siobhan has no trouble understanding her, and I'm sure she would love to have her as a friend! Maybe we'll see how the interview goes - that could be how they first meet - or they could meet elsewhere, leading to the interview? After a show, say, and having only met Morag briefly Siobhan sets up the interview? I don't know, just random thoughts there. -shrugs- Also, the whole 'having two friends from two rivals mobs' idea is a fascinating one - I reckon Hector and Morag would probably be cold towards each other and Siobhan would be all 'What's the matter with you two?' That's how my brain sees it anyway. XD Morag & Zander: Haha, as I think I told you, I had that sort of idea in my head even as I typed this plot page. Oh, Zander. I think Morag/Zander would be a lot of fun, especially since I'm sure Morag wouldn't mind his lack of propriety. Morag & Sunny: Oh goodness, Sunny at Morag's play sounds hilarious! I don't quite know how it would work as a roleplay thread, however, since Morag wouldn't be interacting and (trying) to remain in the world of the play...unless she asks to meet him backstage during the interval to berate him or something? Would that work? Morag & Peter: Haha, 'bad habit of sleeping with the wives of powerful people'. XD We all saw how that went with Anne... good thing Ricky's still clueless... It amuses me to picture his reaction, particularly since he talked to Peter about the murder, using his arguments with Anne as a cover. Sorry, irrelevant. Since I reckon Macbeth would be more powerful in the mob than in 'real life' I'm not sure if this would work, but it wouldn't stop the thread being brilliant, I'm sure. I loved reading Peter's thread with Anne, it'd be interesting to participate in such a thread. Basically, I love all these ideas, although I must say right now I'm leaning more towards Zander and Morag or Sunny and Morag. :3

Honestly I'm having such a hard time thinking of ideas for Morag and any of my characters... D:
Greg's a police guy... perhaps he'd have something to do with her?
Victor's crazy, and he can also be anywhere, wander anywhere...
And Osric... well, Osric used to be really involved in theater. Perhaps he could see her in her show and ask her if they're hiring, or something, though that's not very interesting... D:

That is an occasion for D: indeed! I don't have any ideas for Morag and Greg just now, but I think they might be the most likely candidates for a thread, although I'm sure Osric and Morag would make an amusing duo as well!

Greg could always come in via Katherine and the drug plot. After all, she's gonna need some cops bust the drug ring ring with her XD
