ooc: Not to worry my dear - great to hear from you again! ;D

The glower the ADA gave the actress was justified, and although Morag was still unable to help but find the woman's indignation comical, the look still set her on edge. She did not return the glare however but simply continued to smile, somewhat mockingly, she had to admit, as Minola and Carter prepared to exit the cell.
"You have 10 minutes. I'll be waiting outside. Carter?"
Morag watched the pair as they exited, to be certain they had both left. When she was sure they were both off down the corridor and out of earshot the smile she had been sporting fell from her face instantly, her expression rearranging itself into a fearsome glower as she rounded on Campbell.
The smile he had been wearing at the prospect of a conversation with Morag swiftly vanished, to be replaced with a look that more accurately conveyed fear than eagerness. He shrank back a little even though Morag had yet to move towards him - the look she was giving him was enough.
"M-Morag, I..."
"Just whit the hell do ye think ye were daein' Campbell, eh?" Morag hissed, managing to stop herself raising her voice if only to stop the conversation potentially being overheard by the lawyer and the ADA.
Campbell tried to protest, but Morag cut him off before he had even uttered a word.
"Dinnae bother, Campbell. I dinnae want excuses, I just want tae ken whit happened. How in God's name did ye end up getting yersel' caught?"
Campbell at once launching into an explanation, trying his hardest to appear as innocent as he could - blaming anything and everyone but himself for what had befallen him. He was frustrated, he was angry but most of all he was afraid. He needed Morag to help him, to tell him what to do, and he was already in her bad books as it was, hence his desperate attempts to make himself look good.
It didn't work. As soon as Campbell, who had become less and less indignant as his story continued due to the look on his boss' face, was finished, Morag strode swiftly towards him and grabbed him by the upper arm so he couldn't try to move away, her long nails digging painfully into his skin. Campbell whimpered with pain and fear and tried to squirm free, but Morag was having none of it.
"Ye're one of the worst criminals I've ever had the misfortune tae be associated wi Campbell, an' that's sayin something. Ye dae ken just whit danger ye've gone and put us all in? One hell of a lot! I could do ye some serious damage right now and no-one would ever be the wiser - believe me when I say I want tae! But your stupidity disnae matter now - whit matters is sorting out just whit you're gonnae say when that pair get back in here. But that's no tae say I'm letting you off, Jim, nae, I cannae let this idiocy of your pass without an appropriate punishment. You really should hae called the wife and kids raither than me, Campbell - when will ye hear fae them again, I wonder?"
She paused. Campbell was quaking in her grip, biting his lip as though to hold back tears, fearful for what would happen to his family even now when he was detained, not even imprisoned yet. She inwardly smirked at the man's evident terror - really, the man was an eejit and a coward, and she wouldn't be wasting her time with him if it wasn't for the fact that his incompetence could risk the discovery of the drug ring and lead to her own arrest. She couldn't let that happen.
Morag released Campbell's arm and took a step back, pacing a little in front of him as though she were the ADA, rapidly firing questions at the criminal before her.
"Whit d'you ken about the drugs, Campbell? Who gave ye them?"
Campbell was confused at this sudden change of tack, this line of questioning. Surely Morag knew, why was she...?
"I...I ken that Angus gave me them an-"
"That's where ye're wrong, Campbell. Ye ken nothing, do ye hear?" A pause. "Nothing truthful at any rate. If they ask where ye got the drugs, say ye got them fae Fraser Macleod."
"Macleod? But he's-"
"He's deid, aye. But they dinnae ken that. It wisnae reported or anything - naebody kens him here. His body hasnae even been found yet, so far as I ken."
Campbell shuddered.
"That'll buy us some time, at least, while they try tae track him down. That's all I can dae for ye richt now Campbell, and you'd best be pretty damn grateful fae that!"
The man nodded fervently, earnestly. Then,
"What ye said about my family, ye wouldn't, ye won't-"
Morag laughed, inwardly. No, she wouldn't. She'd hand that job off to a subordinate. But she wasn't about to tell Campbell that - she would be walking a fine line and risk him telling the truth in order to ruin her as revenge. Best to play it safe.
She shook her head, gave Campbell a quick smile and a nod and left the cell, walking back along the corridor and to the lobby, where Carter and Minola were waiting, greeting them with a similar small smile.
"I'll just be away hame then," she said, as though she were saying goodbye to her castmates at the theatre rather than the ADA and a lawyer at the police station.
