Concerning the Chatbox

I've been having trouble connecting to the chatbox lately. The night that I posted (three days past now), it all started going screwy and I've been unable to successfully connect (or even load sometimes) the cbox since then. I think this chatbox connectivity issue is also interfering with my net connection to RC because every now and then I'll lose the connection entirely or a page won't load, etc. I know it's the chatbox interfering because my Internet works fine on other webpages.

I just wanted to fill you in and ask if you've been experiencing problems with the chatbox or if it's just me.

I also wanted to ask if you all are interested in keeping this new cbox or are keen on getting the old one back. If the latter is the case, I'll gladly front the money for it. If you've grown accustomed to this new one, say so here. See if we can reach a decision on this so I can put this issue to bed.

P.S. If I don't respond when you're yelling out "ALLL" in the cbox after you've spotted me online, it's not because I'm ignoring you. As stated above, it's because I can't connect to the cbox. I say this because I saw Kay trying to get my attention the other day and I couldn't respond. Felt pretty bad about that. So, for the time being, feel free to PM me if you need to ask/say something. ^^

I have problems getting it to load from time to time. Usually I just have to refresh the page a few times and it'd start working again for me. And that ALLLLLL was checking to see if you got my PM with that growth disorder in it and what you thought about it.

I'm relatively indifferent to which cbox we use. Of course I like the old one but I'm also quite fond of the font options in this one

I've been having the same issues with the site, Al, but I thought it was just the browser I was using. Now that I think about it, other sites have been working fine in this browser. It probably is the cbox, because I know the cbox on my site has been doing the same thing, and we also use chatango.

I would use the old cbox on our site, but I don't have the ability to pay for it yet, so we have to stick with chatango. But by all means, please bring the old cbox back! I rather miss it, and the larger icons you can use, and not having to sign up with an email address. And I had Leffie taken! Leffie was taken on the chatango cbox, so I had to use Leffels. >> My name. Is. Leffie. >8c

Another problem I've been experiencing is that the cbox only loads on the home page, and when I go to post or look at a thread, it doesn't show up, and some other portions of the sidebar won't load, like the awards. I think that's a major issue, especially since I have to keep two windows open just to talk to you guys!

I've been having leetle issues too! Blimey. I don't think it works very well for anyone, eh?
Anywho, the cbox is making the site very laggy on my laptop, which is quite annoying - and has a tendency to not load at all on some of the pages (the only one it always (almost) shows up on is the home). And when lots of people all start saying things, it makes my laptop freeze up.
Which is very irritating. But I'm not sure whether that's due to my computer or the cbox.

Emmy was taken too! D: So I had to add 'The First' on the end, as I presumed I'd lose the password around a gazillion times. Then I realized that it keeps you logged in - so I haven't, yet.
But I keep getting messages from random people.
It's weird.

P.S. There are so many angry little red squiggly lines under words here that I can't be bothered checking through 'em. Excuse any mistakes. :3

I've been using Chatango for years, as we use it on a few of my other sites. (We call it "Sh*tango.") I like the login options and the ability to privately chat with people. But. Believe me when I say, for those of you new to Chatango, that these issues are the norm for it. Hence our nickname for it.

I prefer it to the old cbox, but if y'all want to change back to the old one because of these issues, I won't mind.

Chatango seems to run best in the most recent version of Firefox, then in Chrome. Internet Explorer users will have a ton of trouble with it. And don't even try accessing it from your phone.
