That's darling... you... you should call me Lotte. My daddy called me that, and my Farmor. Little Lotte.

Yeah, with Farmor and Daddy. I've been here for all of my life, I think--I guess I can't remember. You get used to it... the bigness.

I was born in London. I'm used to the busy-ness, but really New York can be a bit overwhelming. However, I like it here. I miss London or course. I fly back to see Mum and Dad a couple times a year.

London... wow... well, I could tell by your accent... which is really pretty, by the way... <her tone gets softer> I can't quite remember, but... were you singing to me...?

<quietly> I don't know, it made me feel strange. <clears her throat> Can I ask how old you are?

<tenses up when she asks the question of age. Tries to ignore it.>
Strange? Why did it make you feel strange? Perhaps because you were falling asleep. I would expect it would be that. I hope it was not because it was a strange song...

<laughs a little> No, it was a beautiful song, it just... never mind. But anyway, do you mind if I ask?

<there is silence for a moment>
Well, I don't know exactly how old you are. I expect I'm a bit older than you, perhaps.

Ah you are perceptive, then. Twenty-two you say. I thought perhaps about that age from your pictures. Perhaps a year or two younger.
