Siobhan knew how finicky critics could be. They were supposed experts in their realms, and yet, they parroted to the most refined who were only going to see a show based off of whatever supposed merits they read from the critics’ reviews. Normal people who weren’t the kind to visit a play a week were the ones who should have been reviewing. It was their opinion that would have been the most honest. She definitely had a point in suggesting that people just ignore whatever the critics were saying and go to see for themselves. Siobhan was the same way. She’d go for herself and that was all there was to it because she wasn’t about to let other people make her mind up for her. She’d been married to someone who tried to do that for her, and it hadn’t ended well for her and Nick. She was too headstrong for that.
“It certainly sounds like a play that has something for everyone in it,” Siobhan replied, thinking that was important in a story. “I’m sure you’ll get excellent reviews.”
“...I do have my sights set upon conquering Hollywood. More Acting - either stage or film -, modelling, charity events, anything that comes my way I will be thrilled to do."
That was closer to Siobhan’s resume. Her own life revolved around modelling and charity. She knew that world and that should she choose to do it, Marguerite would be the kind of person who could manage it. The smile would be enough to get her in the door, but the fame would be the real backing. Charities loved fame, and fame was something she clearly had. Not only could she personally contribute, but she could pull others who were equally famous into the charity. She’d learned all this throughout her own experiences, surprised about all the pull she’d managed to have with a charity.
“I can imagine you’d be great at any of those,” she replied, looking over her list of questions once again. “Well, it seems I have a couple questions here from my listeners. Holly from Douglas Manor wants to be on Broadway herself one day. Do you have any pointers for an aspiring actress?”

A bold grin spread upon her lips ever so gracefully as a little genteel snicker emanated from behind her pearly white teeth. Then swiftly added her own little fun with a fun voice to entertain her viewers, "Drama... scandal... betrayal... romance..." all the while using her hands and arms in grand gestures that she has been widely known for doing. "This story has it all!" And kept grinning. "My co-stars and I are hoping the same!" she softly laughed once again.
She felt an odd mix of humility and pride, nodding twice, "Merci, thank you," It was a compliment that no doubt was for the show, but she could tell was sincere, too. Her Hostess was no doubt a well respected lady here in NYC, of that she could tell by the look upon the young woman's face. Adding a couple nods, eager and prepared for the questions from listeners. She in turn listened to the first question. "That is a very good question," she began, as always utilizing her hands with gestures to prove her point even if the listeners would never see her motions. "Holly of Douglas Manor," her French accent was almost skewering the name and location, " As long as you have the heart and passion to be on Broadway, you CAN overcome anything. It is a challenging... career. Very challenging! But... incredibly rewarding. Stick with it." Slightly leaning closer to the mic, "and see me after one my performances sometime," she said softly as though an attempt to whisper, then snickered.

Siobhan listened to Marguerite talk about the show, thinking that if it delivered everything that she promised, it would be pretty entertaining. She had to admit that she hadn’t been to a good show in a while. This might just be one that she would be going to see. Time permitted, of course, and if she could find some company to go with.
Looking up from her notes, she listened as Marguerite responded to the listener’s question, pleased that she was taking it seriously. Her listeners were the most important part of the job, after all. If her guests couldn’t respect them, then they wouldn’t be returning to the show. She had no such worries about the woman across from her. She most definitely was handling things well and she hoped that Holly was happy with the answer, especially the invitation to meet the lady herself after a show. That was special indeed.
“I hope Holly finds your advice just as rewarding as I did,” she offered, pulling up the next question, smiling as she read it again. “George from Harlem says that he knows you’ve been around the world and seen many things. What stands out in your mind as the most interesting thing you’ve seen on your travels?”
Having never seen a lot of the world, Siobhan lived vicariously through those who had. The blonde was quite interested to hear the answer to this one, hoping that someone as worldly as Marguerite had seen something worth telling to appease both George and herself, if not entertain everyone else in New York who was listening.

Perhaps it was a big promise to have some unknown person meet her but that's the sort of person she is. Those in her career field, they were not just competition, but peers and often co-stars! She worked with a great number of talented people only because they stuck with their dreams. She was one of them that got swept up in the mayhem and though went through her rough patches like anyone else, she did have her glowing moments, too. She hoped that perhaps this girl, Holly, was one whom could handle the rigors of Entertainment. A smile continued to grace her lips, keeping that pleasant visage and hoping she had not made a mistake with the offer extended to this Holly girl. Hiding that tiny bit of doubt in the back of her mind and not allowing it to show upon her countenance, let alone face! "Merci," she simply stated with humility and a constant smile.
As Siobhan read off the next question from someone named George, she listened intently and a slight nod of her head from time to time. That gentle look changed into raised brows and a genteel snicker, "Ooooh," she said while snickering, "Oh, my. The most interesting thing I've seen." She snickered again then covered her mouth with her hand as she looked genuinely stunned. "Hmmm," and removed her hand after a moment, smiling as she thought. "A very good question, Monsieur George. I think... you've successfully stumped me!" and snickered. After a moment, as usual gesturing with her hands as she spoke, "It is so hard that... just one.. particular place stands out in your mind. So many places around the world... captures you like... magic. And the people... they only add the magic. No matter where you go. Whether you live there or simply there to visit. the people are extraordinary." Smiling once again, "I always bring back some souvenir from where ever I have been. Especially those given to me by locals. They mean the most to me." Her mismatched eyes twinkled at the mention of the souvenirs she had been gifted and then her thoughts strayed a moment to those people, young and old, who had given her such wonderful mementos. She will never forget such compassionate people. "I cherish each one."

"Oh, my. The most interesting thing I've seen. A very good question, Monsieur George. I think... you've successfully stumped me!"
Siobhan raised an internal eyebrow. She wasn’t sure that was true. Even on her worst day, Siobhan could come up with something to say. But she’d learned the other woman was a charmer, no matter the circumstances, so she was sure that she was playing it up for the radio. She probably had something in mind, after all.
"It is so hard that just one particular place stands out in your mind.”
Siobhan nodded along, figuring that was where she’d end up. It was how she was keeping the listeners’ interest, while at the same time being ambiguous enough to hurt no one’s feelings in the interim. After all, she knew she had listeners in Europe who might have thought that something interesting had happened in their neck of the woods. It was clever and Siobhan was very aware of how smart the other woman must have been. Her explanation of how she was given gifts and that she cherished them was something that played to the crowds without really answering the question, but seeing as how they were running low on time, it was one of those things that she was willing to let go, seeing as how fighting for a real answer wasn’t in her job description. She wasn’t Barbra Walters or Diane Sawyer, after all.
“That’s quite interesting. I imagine souvenirs make it easier to remember all the places you’ve been to,” Siobhan offered politely. “Alright, it looks like we have time for one more question from our listeners. This one comes from Joanie in Manhattan. Joanie wants to know what your dream role would be?”
It was an interesting question for an actress who’d done so much already. If there was something she wanted to do, it would be interesting to hear just what that role would be.

Despite the good questions, she did her best to answer them as clever as possible. Opinion was one thing, but to offer a response that was purely positive and could in general answer the question asked... well, that was indeed a challenge. The sort of challenge that Marguerite constantly enjoyed! How ever could one be sharp mentally if they were never challenged? After all, brains were not hereditary.
That charming smile continued to play upon the French Actresses lips, occasionally cracking for a sweet grin to appear upon her fair face. "Oui, Yes," she continued to grin with her voice very sincere about the personal souvenirs. "Each I see those items, I see the wonderful faces of those people whom gave me something so memorable. I could never forget. You can see always see buildings and landscapes, but it's the people who make the places enchanting, causing a longing to return and see them again."
Raising her brows and her eyes widened a bit as a grin spread upon her lips! Another question? Not that she didn't mind them, but this was exciting! Again, it was a challenge and she soaked these up like a sponge in water! "Ooo, so many wonderful questions by your listeners! Merci!" and grinned as she shifted, fingering her hair out of her face. "Joanie-" saying the listener's name in that French accent, so velvety that it rolled out of mouth enough to cause hundreds of men to need a cold shower! "That is the fun thing with Acting. You never have one dream role! Something always continues to catch your attention and you say... 'I want to try that!'. So you find ways to make it happen." Pausing a moment, "I've already had two dream roles - one a Henriette in 'Orphans of the Storm' and currently as Lady Barbara Worth in 'The Wicked Lady'. I've no doubt there will be more dream roles that happen along during my career."
This whole interview had gone far better than she expected and she was having an absolute blast! Siobhan was quite Professional and had gained the respect of the International Actress.

As far as interviews went, Siobhan would say that this one was a success. It was easy enough to talk to Marguerite. She knew how to answer these types of questions, she knew how to conduct her answers so that they could conduct a live interview. There were no surprises, well, aside from how exactly she was answering the questions, but it wasn’t as if there was the need to censor her words. It was just better all around to work with a professional.
"Oui, Yes. Each time I see those items, I see the wonderful faces of those people whom gave me something so memorable. I could never forget. You can see always see buildings and landscapes, but it's the people who make the places enchanting, causing a longing to return and see them again."
And that was an example of one of those perfect answers that really didn’t answer anything, but everyone is happy to hear that she cares and would return to see them again. Tactful indeed.
"...Joanie, that is the fun thing with Acting. You never have one dream role! Something always continues to catch your attention and you say... 'I want to try that!'. I've no doubt there will be more dream roles that happen along during my career."
Not for the first time, Siobhan could tell that she was passionate about what she did. She wasn’t someone just filling a role, she lived to be that role. It was one of those things that Siobhan admired about people – the ones that seemed to find their place in the world and loved what they did. Siobhan wished she would be so lucky some day.
“Well, at least your profession will never get dull,” she offered, wondering how else she could answer a comment like that. “And that’s really the true sign of doing something you love – never finding it’s boring.”
She clicked out of the program she was in, the website for the station prominent now with all the performance times for the show. There would be a summary of the interview up in a couple hours, too, but for now the important information was there.
“Well, it looks like we’ve come to the end of our questions. I’d like to thank Miss Saint-Just for joining us today and wish her luck with her production. For show times and more information, I’ll direct you all to our website. Now, you’re all in for a treat. Charlie the intern has a whole look at how New Wave changed the face of rock coming up after a word from our sponsors. Stay classy, New York.”
Siobhan switched off the mics and smiled over at the other woman.
“Well, that was fun.”

She grinned, "Oui," She chimed in briefly about doing something one loves to do. A graceful nod, "Merci," she said softly. "Thank you for having me here."
Once the mics were off and the program over with signaled the end of the interview. She softly released a sigh and hoped it went well enough. Usually they do but one never knew until one has listened or re-listened to it.
"It was," and she stood, held out her hand to the other woman with her usual smile, "Thank you so much for having me on your show and at your station. It has been quite an honor, Madame Shaw." "Perhaps another interview in the future? Until then, if you want to go for coffee and a croissant sometime, feel free to call me." Again gave the other woman her charming smile. Siobhan was one of the few she's met in New York so far and it was always best to socialize with others. Thus far, would be fair and fine to socialize with Siobhan. A person could never know too many people.

Siobhan watched as Marguerite sighed and seemed to deflate. She couldn’t help the small smile on her lips. Oh, she remembered that relief after her first few interviews. She could remember what it was like – the sudden drop of adrenaline after all the time she spent revved up for the show. It was nice to know that even the most professional of professionals were liable to going through the same thing that she did. However, she was quick to bounce back, standing and offering Siobhan her hand.
"Thank you so much for having me on your show and at your station. It has been quite an honor, Madame Shaw. Perhaps another interview in the future? Until then, if you want to go for coffee and a croissant sometime, feel free to call me."
“Any time, it was a pleasure to have you on, Miss Saint-Just.” She shook the offered hand, standing so that she could show the woman out “And that goes both ways. If you need to get a coffee and a bagel – we’re famous for them here in New York – feel free to give me a call, too.”
She offered the woman a small smile and walked her out of the room, thinking it might be nice to have a friend in the industry. After all, all her friends were men. Sure, Zander was great for a laugh, and Greg was her cousin, but...maybe this was the start of something good.
