As Roger yelled at the lady Angel began to crack up. She hit him to be quiet but really thought it was hilarious. Angel felt an itch in the back of her skirt and went to scratch it. Suddenly, she found a piece of paper. She pulled it out and saw the green paper all folded up. She unfolded it and realized it was the 100 dollar bill she had one. Oh yeah! I put it there so I wouldn't lose it! She remembered.
"Look who is 100 dollars richer!" She yelled, holding the single bill in front of Mimi and Roger. She loved the feeling of holding a lot of money in her hands. It made her feel accomplished. She got off the cement and took a seat on the bench's armrest. "I have an idea! She said proudly "Dinner on me tonight at the Life Cafe! We can make it a party" She loved planning parties and getting a load of people together. "We can get a bunch of people together and I will treat!" She smiled. "I'm sure we could all use a good drunk night." She said, gazing at Roger.

Mimi grinned. "Oh, Roger, you always take it so personally..." she sighed as he cuddled her, pulling her body closer to his warmth. The young woman slung her legs across his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck, accepting his embrace and his sweet kiss. It was always gentle and soft now, unless the passion stirred up behind closed doors and under dim light.
Mimi rolled her eyes when they were interrupted but didn't do much to protest again the lady. The young child who was with her started to giggle. Mimi caught his eye, and smiled genuinely back to him. Such innocence - she hoped New York wouldn't ruin him as he got older, like it had to many pure hearts before. But also, the young woman had faith in love, and in humanity. The force of good in this world - if there was evil, there might as well be good will too. They wouldn't exist without the other anyhow.
"There will always be prudes no matter what city you go to, even New York, just as there will always be crazies like me and you. Don't worry about it, baby."
Suddenly Angel made a startling discovery, and Mimi cheered at her idea. "That sounds wonderful...we could ask Mark if he wants to come out today, and maybe Joanne and Maureen if they're not too busy..."
She glanced at Roger expectantly.

"Yeah, I take things personally when people start questioning my sexual ability." Roger protested lightly against her lips, feeling her sling her legs across his lap to sit. Hands slid down her back, fingers pressing into the small of it as he smiled against her lips before she pulled back slightly. Roger heard the young child start to giggle, and he saw the smile both on Mimi's face and in her eyes.
He knew that he could easily get lost in Mimi's eyes. They were instantly something Roger had noticed when she had came into the Loft that dark night. The sound of the child's laughter made him secretly long for the innocence they all used to once have. Before everything got twisted and wrong. Mimi spoke about the prudes and about the crazies, and Roger smirked. "Just as long as you're around, I'm cool, baby. I like being crazy with you."
Angel spoke then, making Roger turn his head quickly to look at the drag queen. "Food? I'm down for food." Roger agreed, nodding. "And tell Maureen Johnson that there's a chance that she'll be able to show off? And she'll be there. Or just tell her that there's liquor and a bunch of nice-looking people. You're sure to strike gold on something you say with her." It had been a while since they had all gone out and just been together. "Good way to let the group know? Just tell Sunny. I swear, the news'll be around the East Village in twenty minutes that the Boho's from Eleventh Street and Avenue B are partying down at the Life Cafe."
