It was a rather sunny bright morning. Climbing out of her bed, Christine scratched the back of her head. Many events had happened these last past months. A soft sigh came to her as she opened up one of the curtains and gazed down at the lovely city of New York. It was a lovely city and she got changed into something comfortable. While throwing upon a coat she looked around her surroundings when she got her keys for her apartment. Heading across the street, she made her way to the park.
Thankfully it was day time and not night. Bad things so she heard lurked in this part of the park. Christine loved walking in this park every day. It was a lovely sunny morning. The sun was just rising, and a few couples passed by her, and a few children did so as well. As she walked through the park, she noticed blonde hair and the petite figure of her friend Meg Giry. Could it be that Meg her old friend was here? Christine remained silent as she walked slowly behind her. "Meg?" she asked the girl curiously. Then she realized it was not her. "Forgive me, you just resemble so much of my old friend Meg Giry back in Paris. " she said a moment later. A smile was upon her face and she continued her walk through the park. Then she stopped and turned around again. To make sure if it was her or not.

oufitMeg Giry had been up for hours. Early morning dance classes had been very favorite thing since arriving in New York. She loved how she could get up and go right to dance class. The dance studio was high up in a building with windows that let you see out over the city. It was so beautiful early in the morning. She watched the sun rise many a times from her dance classes. The dancing wasn't nearly as challenging as the dances her mother created for the opera back in Paris but she didn't mind it. She was one of, if not the best dancer in the class. The instructor kept hinting at her getting the lead in The Nutcracker that winter and in whatever ballet they decided to do for the summer season. Miss Giry could hardly believe it. She would be the female lead in a ballet. Her mother wouldn't even give her a lead dancing role at the Opera. She would definitely have to call her mother or write to her. She hoped she would be proud of her. Her little Meg, a star, finally. Clad in her black leotard and skirt, she started to make her way home through Central Park. She was so glad she bought the tights that you could roll up the feet and she put on a pair of silver ballet flats. She could walk much easier now, with her dance bag slung over her thin shoulder. "Meg?" Meg jumped slightly as she heard her name. She didn't know if someone was calling her or not as she pulled the hair tie out of her hair that held her blonde waves up in a high bun. Letting her blonde waves hang around her shoulders she couldn't help but hear what the voice said next. "Forgive me, you just resemble so much of my old friend Meg Giry back in Paris. " She almost stopped short. Wait, I know that voice... she thought as she continued to follow the girl to see if it was who she thought it was. "Heaven help me, could it be...? No, it couldn't possibly..." she whispered as she realized who it was. "Christine?" she now asked the girl, "Christine Daae, is that you?"((occ: hope you don't mind that bit of "Dear Old Friend" from Love Never Dies I added....well just that one line ))

Her head turned away from the blonde, Christine continued to walk in the other direction. Until she heard her speak her name. Stopping halfway, Christine looked back for a moment. Christine's eyes went wide for a moment and she couldn't help give a little girlish squeal of excitement. Christine ran towards her friend Meg. It had been only a year since she saw her last.
"Yes its me!" she said wrapping her arms around her friends waist and she couldn't help but give out a small laughter in her voice. "Oh my goodness, what are you doing here in New York?!" she asked curiously. Then she began to link arms with her friend and they began walking through the park talking loudly. Christine then lowered her voice and said "Tell me everything. What has your mother been up to ?!" she asked a moment later. Still couldn't believe that her friend was actually here in New York.

Meg smiled as her best friend turned back towards her. She laughed softly as she did a squeal. That reminded her of their days back at the Opera House, dancing in all the opera. Could it only have been a year since they last saw each other. It felt like so much longer. But Meg guessed that being away from your best friend felt longer than it would if you were away from a regular friend. For instance, she did not Miss little Jammes, one of the other "ballet rats" but she did miss her best friend.
Since Christine told her about Raoul, Meg was a little jealous of her best friend. Christine had a childhood love at a cottage by the sea and they were reunited. Meg's childhood was spent inside the Opera House, training to become a ballerina. The only people of the male persuasion that she saw growing up were drunken stage hands and male dancers, who were not interested in the ballet girls and were too full of themselves.
"Yes its me!" Meg couldn't help but laugh as well as she hugged Christine back. She truly had missed her best friend. "Oh my goodness, what are you doing here in New York?!" "I decided to see what the New York ballet scene was like." she told her best friend truthfully, "Turns out it's nothing like Paris's She laughed a bit. When Christine linked their arms, she walked with her best friend through the park, keeping her dance bag on one shoulder. "Tell me everything. What has your mother been up to ?!" "Everything about what, Christine?" Meg asked, "Oh and Mother's fine. She said to say hello if I ever ran into you again. I was just thinking about calling her before, since I was told something at my dance class... She shook her head, letting her thoughts escape her for now. "But what of you, Christine?" she asked, "What have you been up too? Did Raoul come with you?"

Everything was beginning to change once she saw her friend. It had been over a year since they last saw each other. Christine then linked her arm around hers as they walked through the park. It was a very good day for she got reunited with her old friend from the Opera. Christine listened to her speak. Then Christine remained silent as Meg spoke to her. Though should she didn't know if she should also tell her friend if she met up with her angel of music once again either. Christine listened to her for a moment.
Turning to face her friend she couldn't help but smile. "That's wonderful to hear, that your mother is doing well. I would love to see her sometime" she said a moment later. Christine paused for a moment once Meg had asked if Raoul had gone with her to New York. "Yes, he has" she said smiling. "We have gotten married once we left the Opera. He asked me and I simply said yes" Christine sighed for a moment later then turned to Meg "I'm also in the process of searching for a educational place here in New York. Raoul wants me to go into schooling" she said softly.
Then she noticed that Meg had her dance bag. A little laughter had escaped her as she noticed the bag. "I see nothing has changed you. Your still dancing I presume?" she asked curiously a moment later. Christine and Meg were very good friends when she was in the Ballet. Christine had kept her secret hidden from Meg for a while until she was ready to know about the Phantom. Still wandering around the park with linked arms, she listened to what Meg was about to say next.

It felt good to be with her best friend again. Meg was brought back to a time when she and Christine spent all their together back at the Opera House. If it was rehearsing or being late for rehearsal, Meg and Christine could usually be found together. Those days seemed so long ago to her usually but they seemed like yesterday now that she was reunited with her best friend again.
"That's wonderful to hear, that your mother is doing well. I would love to see her sometime" "That may be hard to do." Meg told her best friend, "She's still in Paris as Ballet Mistress and she helps with Box Five." "Yes, he has. We have gotten married once we left the Opera. He asked me and I simply said yes" Meg couldn't help but grin at that news. "Oh, Christine!" she said, "That's wonderful news! Congratulations!" She grinned. "I'm also in the process of searching for a educational place here in New York. Raoul wants me to go into schooling" "Schooling is always good." she said, "I'm taking classes on the Internet myself."
"I see nothing has changed you. Your still dancing I presume?" "Of course." Meg said, "Dancing is my life. You're looking at Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty and as Clara in the Nutcracker this December." She couldn't help but grin at that. Her mother never let her have the leads but here they never even considered her for anything but. "Things in Paris got quiet after...well, everything." she told her friend, "The Phantom of the Opera never showed up or caused anything to happen after you left."

The smile upon Christine's face never faded away once she was with Meg again. Then she looked at Meg, and smiled once she heard that her mother was continuing to be the Ballet Mistress of the Opera. Madame Giry had always been like another mother to Christine. For she loved her all her life and she knew things other people didn't know about. Christine couldn't stop staring at her friend and said "Oh, that's wonderful." She said with a soft smile.
Chuckling lightly, she looked at the ground for a moment. "Thank you my dear friend" she said softly. Christine pulled out her hand that had been linked with Meg's and said "This is the ring Raoul had purchased for me after we left Paris" she said smiling at her. Christine didn't tell her that she got reunited with the Phantom again. It would probably frighten her friend. For she remembered she was afraid of him. "Oh? I didn't know you could do that. Im still trying to figure out how to work mine" she said giggling softly linking arms back with Meg.
Christine stopped walking as she heard she was in two plays. "Are you serious?!" she said with a surprised look upon her face. "Oh my god, Im so happy for you!" she said hugging her once more. "You must tell me when these shows are. Perhaps I could pursue Raoul to take me to come see you..." she said softly smiling and nudging her friend's side playfully.
