Hi, my name is Alex and this is my First character. I found this site through Mimi. Something you should know about me is I absolutely love to role play and make creative ideas for characters and plots. I'm always up for anything!.
Canon: Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing
Custom Title: Respectable Playboy
PHYSICAL
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Appearance: Benedick, or "Ben" as he sometimes prefers to be called, is a well groomed "gentleman" that tries his best to look as presentable as he can be. Although, sometimes, he can't be bothered. His hair is usually an auburn color, shining gold in the sunlight, as well as thick and full, but never too long. His eyes are a soft, earthy green, with his skin lightly tanned (naturally) that brings out the color in his irises.
Short, although he tries to deny it, Ben stands only at five foot seven. He tries to compensate his height with thick, tall boots as well as wear attire that will generally allow him to stand out and look far more attention grabbing than his height. Benedick is usually seen with a well trimmed beard or goatee, but without it, there is a distinguishable mole near his chin.

Play By: Kenneth Branagh
PERSONALITY
General personality: Benedick is usually a very snarky, sarcastic person. He is quick witted and rather short tempered and very quick to make a remark that is usually true, but lacks tact. He knows his manners and what not to say in public, but that doesn't mean he keeps his mouth shut. He firmly believes he will never be married and swears that he will never try. He has only an interest in having fun and living his life.
He carries around a list of things to do before he dies, which does not please his father in the slightest, not that Ben really cares. Benedick has little interest with his father's company and is the only heir to it. With Ben's general "lazy" nature, he wouldn't really be a good choice to run a company anyway, especially an oil company. Numbers confuse him and he seems more interested in literature, if it doesn't conflict with his party schedule.
His main ambition in life is to see the world and hopefully bring his friends along with him if they weren't so busy with real jobs.
Quotes, frequently used expressions: "It has come to this? Will I ever see a bachelor my age again?"
"I am glad my mother gave birth to me and all, but I am not at all interested in a wife or family. I will forever be a bachelor."
"Don't look at me like that!"

BACKGROUND
Family: Antonio Armundo (father) and Emily Armundo (mother)
Friends: Don Pedro, Hero, Leonato (views them as brothers)
Education: Oxford (spent most of his time in England than Padua, Italy where his parents live)
Occupation: Article Writer
Worst past experience: When his father knew that Benedick was not at all interested in the family business and was "kicked out of the house".
Best past experience: When he went sky diving for the first time with his friends off the Golden Gate Bridge.
Image: First impression, people have no idea that he was raised in Italy and is half Italian. He appears very British and "refined", but also quite blunt and to the point. He seems rather rude, but only has the best interest at heart. Benedick isn't a cruel or bitter person, he just doesn't know when to stop speaking his mind.
History: Having grown up in a very high class world within one of Italy's richest, Padua, Benedick didn't know about the sufferings going on around him or the trials life put the average person through. He had been technically spoiled since birth and knew nothing else but the finer things in life. When he showed little interest in his father's oil company, Antonio sent his son to England. He wanted his son to get a job there and live on his own, to see what he could accomplish. With help from his mother, Benedick was able to get into Oxford University. Ben was a brilliant student and mainly focussed on the literature and history aspects.
However, he quickly lost interest in his third year and dropped out. He didn't think he was getting anywhere with that life and wanted to travel. He, however, was a fantastic writer and got a job writing for particular news papers until he landed a full time job that allowed him to travel and write articles.
That was when Benedick knew what he really wanted to do. He would travel around the world, study the people and their culture and then write about it. Once he would be finished, he would get the book published. At least he felt he wasn't just doing what he did for nothing, despite how his father felt.
This has landed him in New York City, where he plans on landing a job writing articles for the New York Times.
However, he is known to get off track from his main priorities and spends more time going to parties and having some interesting encounters with women - still a bachelor, mind you. He doesn't "do" relationships. Would anyone be able to change that?
THE SAMPLE
In Character Sample: Usually this didn't bother Benedick, but his current insomnia was making it near impossibly to write. The city was always a pleasant reminder that he wasn't back "home", but now - right now? The constant sirens, the traffic...they were anything but soothing. Even when Benedick turned up his music, it didn't help.
He was suffering from horrid writer's block, something he had never encountered before. If he had been busy writing with a pen or a pencil, the ends of both would have been non existent. He wanted to bite something out of frustration. Benedick's heavy, irritated sigh caught the attention of his cat, Beau. He frowned when she leaped onto his keyboard, staring up at him. "What? I can't be nocturnal too? That's not quite fair," he muttered, picking her up and setting her on his lap. As he stared at his computer screen and stroke Beau, an idea struck.
"That's it....why don't I write about the way the city works at night? Beau, you are a genius. If I am to be nocturnal tonight, I might as well make the best of it and explore the city!"
Beau was just starting to purr before Benedick jumped up and she carelessly fell to the floor - on her feet, of course. "Take care, my dear feline companion, I will return at dawn!" Ben swiftly put on his jacket, taking his keys and his note pad before feeling around for his pen. Once he saw it was already in his jacket pocket, he left his fancy apartment and went on his way to discover what ever was out there.
It seemed like a good idea at the time.
Never trust a cat.
