SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE THIS MONTH:
1) Wonder why people are putting pics in their threads and randomly highlighting text in white? Check MAYOR & ELECTIONS thread and find out what Richard's Laws of the Land. All policies will ALWAYS be located in City Hall, so keep checking that every month.
2) Seriously, if you're bored, there's PLENTY to do in the New York Times. And we need people to participate to keep things going You can submit to the AGONY AUNT AUGUSTA column, submit Letters to the Editor, or help to fill in the "world" of RC by creating Word on the Street. All of these are fun, trust me!
3) Remember that if you create an open RP, PLEASE post an "ad" for it in the Open Role Plays section of the board. This section is there so that people who are looking for a place to "jump in" can just look at the threads listed without having to search the whole board. Thanks! Also remember to put labels on them (open/casual, etc).
4) We have a new layout so please please please let Yols know if you're having ANY technical issues at all with it. If I don't know, I can't fix them
RULES!
1) the same person cannot win the same award two months in a row (want to give others a chance, so keep that in mind when you make your nominations and voting. You can give that person acknowledgement of course in your post!)
2) Come October 1st, we'll give out awards...which means the people who have awards now will have to give their siggies up so the new winners can feel special But dont worry, we'll have an archive of awards in our graphics section and you can keep a list of the awards you've won in your siggy.
3) For new people (and old, but mostly for those who just joined us this month), you notice that we have a marquee at the top displaying headlines for the NEW YORK TIMES in our RP. Every month we will look for moments in the threads you're involved in, that are pretty public...that a newspaper team would pick up on. We also look for ideas.
Read the paper for examples. Large public scenes, events with high-profile people, criminal activity, big events in general, anything like that is welcome. We're accepting headlines, blurbs, classified ads, and if you want...any ideas of how we could expand the paper
So even if you'd rather not nominate, please let us know if you are involved in a thread with those kind of things in it. Or if you have anything to contribute.
Here's a reminder of the criteria
