Damien drapped his arms against the bench, gazing up into the bright and blinding sunlight. He smirked, sliding on his obnoxiously shiny sunglasses. If the sun didn't blind others, the glare on them would. He chuckled, looking back at the disastor unfolding before him.
Oh, there was no commotion. Just the mad rush of New York City's streets. But it made him laugh how quickly they sped across the pavement, like race horses. It amused him how shut up they were in their own lives. Never taking time to admire their surroundings. They would find planet earth quite an enjoyable place if they'd just relax.
He let himself mold into the scenery, lost in the crowd. It was a comforting thought, that no eyes were on him for a change, where as his eyes were on all of them. Irony rules all, in his opinion. He lit a cigarette and took a long drag, letting the smoke leave his lips in a positively ghastly fashion. It pooled down, then up, as if an unseen force was dragging it down before it reached the surface. Just the way he liked it.
He hoped no one noticed him sitting here. That would put a major hole in his plans.
"What plans?" someone would ask him. Of course he had none. He had plans to have no plans, and that was all that mattered.

Damien hated and dreaded the rays of the sun. He walked towards a bench sitting himself down on it placing a hand up towards his forehead as he shut his eyes slowly feeling a really horrible headache coming. He had been in a rush to get to the bench that he pushed many passers by and he couldn't help but heave a sigh of relief as he sat there leaning his back against the bench as well as his head.
Suddenly Damien's eyes fluttered open as he looked around someone had been sitting on the bench with him. He noticed the man on the bench without hesitation as he continued to sit with his hand placed upon his forehead. " Sorry if I am bothering you. I didn't notice anyone else sitting here." He said quickly and out of breath a bit. " I have quite a headache coming and the blasted sun isn't helping matters." He said hoping the guy was alright with him sitting there he would hate it if he told him to get lost or something along those lines. Damien hoped he wasn't getting sick but it felt like it. Normally he would have taken the pills prescribed to him but he had only one pill left and he was saving it for emergencies.

Damien raised an eyebrow, moving over so that the man sat with enough room. He didn't move his arm, however. He had been sitting there first. He pulled up his sunglasses to get a better look at the guy. He seemed quite haggard, dark circles under his eyes and his pitch black hair in disarray. "Don't curse the sun. What'd it ever do to you?"
He puffed out some smoke with a little laugh. "If you hate the sun, then why are you out in it? That doesn't really make sense, you know. Though if you're a masochist, that's a different story." It was quite funny how he'd been just thinking that he hoped no one would notice him. It seemed to work.

"I have to get my medication today. That's why I am out in the sun. I normally work in the dark. I have a condition called Photophobia. Maybe you've heard of it? So I have a reason to curse the sun." Damien replied as he looked at the man with half closed eyelids in pain muttering a bit to himself.
"Like I said before sorry if I am bothering you. I don't mean too." Damien wanted to just shut his eyes and have everything else around him disappear. He wished he could just curl up in a tiny ball and everything would go away and he would be better. But it didn't seem to be working at all.
Damien then looked over towards the man and winced in pain as the headache of his came on stronger. " Do you think maybe you could help me?" He asked not really caring that he was talking to a complete stranger and asking him for help. Damien just needed to get his medication and he didn't care at the moment whom he asked for help.
