Soooo, new character here. Halden Cooper aka Hal aka Hephaestus from Greek Mythology. He only has one leg, he's covered in tattoos, and he's a mechanic by trade. Hal loves the ladies but doesn't entertain punks; he'd make a kid smile if it killed him.
The dude needs friends. Any takers?

I must say you did a fantastic job, the guy is totally Hephaetus, and I absolutely love him. In the cbox we slightly went over the thought of Sodapop being Hal's apprentice, right? Lack of sleep kills my memory. Anywho if that was what we discussed I'm up for it but we should porbably work out something with Sodapop's current mechanic jpb. I was thinking that his current shop could just get run out of business by Hal. Then maybe Sodapop goes to see why and give the guy a piece of his mind and actually comes to respect him once he sees what he can do? IDK is sort of brain dead at the moment

Thanks very much, first off. Secondly, I really like your idea. Hal could probably just put Sodapop in his place because he doesn't like punks or kids with attitudes. When Sodapop goes to give a piece of his mind, Hal could just ignore him and have him help with something in a car.

Meg doesn't judge people, honestly, so if he ever wants someone to talk to, she's his girl :-)

I realize this is late considering when this plot thread was started, and I'm also on the wrong account.
But, all that aside. XD
I was thinking it might be interesting for Hal and Richard to have a thread together though as yet I have absolutely no idea how they would meet or anything. /fail
If I think of anything I'll get back to you. ^___^

I had an idea that maybe Hal finds Smythe sleeping in one of the cars he's repairing? Anyway that was just an idea and I need to get threads going for him.

Hey sorry is this so late, but Joan is..well...actually very suspicious and doesn't warm up to people easily, but she's interesting. And she hears Voices, so if you're interested, let me know. She's low class, she's actually homeless, and I keep meaning to introduce her to Smythe and the others. Anyway just thought I"d offer.

I'm not sure how Hal will react to the whole hearing voices bit but I'm sure it would be hilarious if they met.

Hello! So, er, in mythology, we had an arranged marriage which Aphrodite promptly failed to honour with Ares. Later Heph got his money back. I'll be honest, I have no idea how to update that concept for modern times, but I am up for it if you are -- at the very least they totally need to meet, somehow! XD

Well, I've thought about that particular issue and I haven't come up with a solution. Hal is currently flirting/dating Katherine Minola and I don't think that there is any real way to update their story so....
They can just chill as is and not meet, or, if they do meet, take a totally different route than what mythology took ie friendship, frenemies, or something.

Oh, wait a second -- derp. I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. Possible solution, just a thought: it could have already happened. Not an arranged marriage, but she could have been with him, and slept with someone else and ruined it very easily. That would give us a bit of history, cover us for the canon stuff, and leave us with something to go on that doesn't interrupt current plots?
If you want, like I said, I'm not bothered either way. She's supposed to have been with a few older men and she's definitely not been faithful in the past, and I would really like to explore as part of her character what the consequences of that behaviour are for her, and for other people.
They definitely don't have to like each other, I'd much rather write the opposite XD
((edited because I wrote a bunch of words backwards, the hell))
