Kearstin didn't go to the Bronx, normally. And it was for good reason. She wasn't the type that got into fights, especially with gang members and prostitutes. But today, she had nothing else to do. She hated when life got boring, and what other way to add excitement then to go to the "wrong" side of town. And it wasn't like she couldn't take care of herself. Of course she could. If someone looked too suspicious, she'd run. There had to be a kind police officer somewhere in New York City. And maybe she'd find him. Or her. It was probably a her. She smirked at the thought, and looked up to study her surroundings.
No, there was no possible way Calvin was living here. She would tan his hide if she found out he had, when she found him that is. She looked around, noting a few junkies and prostitutes lining the sidewalks. She was grateful to whoever ruled from the sky that she hadn't ended up like them. She realized it could have happened... probably quite easy. Weren't there statistics that said most of the teenage runaways end up selling their bodies? And didn't a lot of teenagers everywhere, not even just runaways, become addicted to drugs? She really was quite lucky she didn't have any friends. It meant no peer pressure. And that was a good thing.. sometimes.
The fifteen year old smoothed out her Beatles (Abbey Road, to be exact) shirt over her skinnies, and fiddled with one of her bracelets. She didn't exactly come off as rich, not even close, but she also didn't come off as a runaway. And that was what she was going for. God knew she needed some sleezy old man named.. Who knows, Merrill? Jebediah? to figure out she didn't have a home, didn't have anyone watching over her while she slept. She liked not being raped quite well, actually. It was a win-win. For her. She bit her lip slightly, taking off her sunglasses and sticking them in her front pocket. The one thing she hated about skinny jeans.. the pockets were as tight as the rest of the pants.
She had no idea where she was wandering around too. In fact, she didn't really know anywhere to go in the Bronx. Mainly, she had just been planning on wandering around. But honestly, that had already gotten a little boring. And she had only been doing it about five minutes. Maybe she had a low attention span... Or maybe she just needed to find something even more exciting to do. Maybe approach a junkie and make a prime insult about his mother...? No, they probably wouldn't care. His hair maybe...
But she didn't exactly have a death wish. Just... was bored. There was a difference, although most adults couldn't tell the difference in teenagers. But she could. So she stayed clear of the junkies. For now.

Christine skipped over a puddle that had been drying up in the street after a little fall of rain the other day. She coughed lightly, clutching the envelope close to her chest. She hated this part of town. Why wouldn't she? It was dangerous to her. She felt as if any crazy could jump out at any second! She could trip on one of the many cracks that lined the streets, and break her ankle. There were so many things that could happen, and she just didn't know what to do with herself. Not to mention she didn't know where she was going. All her boss had said was that she'd get paid extra at that night's performance if she'd deliver a letter to one of his customers in the Bronx. She knew now that she shouldn't have dressed so nicely that day. She wouldn't have had people staring at her along the street if she hadn't. But pretty little girls like her didn't belong here. She knew that's what they were thinking. Perhaps they wanted to violate her? Well, she had pepper spray in her bag, and she'd been known to pack a mean punch. Though she'd wished she'd worn heels that day, to use as a weapon! She sighed, looking at the address on the envelope again. She couldn't see why her boss just didn't mail it, but she wasn't in authority, so she couldn't have known. It just irked her that she'd take a job so willingly just to scrounge up a few bucks. Was she really that low on funds? Not really. But maybe the city was getting to her. Maybe she was becoming greedy. She hoped not. Suddenly, out of no where (since she hadn't looked where she was going), she bumped into a young body. She stumbled back, almost falling down in the process. "Oh! I'm so sorry! Please forgive me! I didn't watch where I was going!" The girl looked about mid to late teens. 'Maybe I can ask her where this address is... Unless she's some sort of crazy, like I'd expect from here.'

In all honesty, Kearstin hadn't been paying much attention to where she had been going. So she wasn't surprised when she felt a jolt, and realized two people had collided. And that she had been one of the people. She looked up from the ground, and saw a woman close to falling down. She raised her eyebrow at the woman, because boy did she look out of place. She was dressed in a dress, a nice dress, with white shoes and a little white sweater covering it. Where did she think she was, Manhattan? Kearstin studied her, trying not to smirk, but really not being able to help it. This chick would be lucky if she survived the afternoon.
Now, Kearstin was not really cold hearted. She just thought, you should know what you're getting into when you go somewhere. She would never wear her current outfit to a fancy dance or something, and she would never wear a fancy dress to the Bronx. She had street smarts, at least a little bit of them, and so she used them. This woman either didn't have any or she hadn't been planning on visiting the bad part of town that afternoon. Either way, she was still slightly stupid for wearing that. However, Kearstin was never as mean out loud as she was in her head. At least, she wasn't if the person didn't deserve it.
"It's fine. I wasn't paying any attention to where I was going either." she said, smiliing at the woman and looking around. Maybe she should hang around, make sure she got out of the Bronx okay. She seemed nice, and Kearstin would hate reading about her death in the newspaper. Especially if there was a chance she could prevent it... "Do you know where you're going? I mean, no offense, you aren't really dressed for this part of town." She hoped she didn't come off as rude... even though she kind of was.

Christine gave off a nervous laugh. "Hehe, I guess its kind of obvious, huh?" She rubbed the back of her head. "Well, you see, my boss needed me to deliver something this side of town... And I'm kind of lost." She pleaded with the girl with her eyes. She usually got what she wanted when she used her eyes. People said they looked like the ocean (which didn't please her too much).
"Can you tell me where I can find this address?" She showed the address she had written on her hand to the girl. "I don't know why he didn't just mail it, but here I am! Hehe." She was still realyl nervous. This girl could be a drug pusher for all she knew! It was a little unsettling being near anyone here in the Bronx.
