HELP WANTED|Book Editing/Reviewing

[JANE EYRE]

It's now known by a few of the wonderful members of this site that I am currently working on a novel. I'm always looking for input and super constructive criticism. Here's the basic rundown of the book thus far:

Title: Cora
Current Chapter Count: Fourteen completed
Rating: teen-some mild language and adult themes. If it was a movie it'd be R because of the f-bomb but that's it
Summary: Courtney is a twenty year old prostitute who is known as Cora to her customers. Courtney works constantly to take care of her five year old daughter who has a medical condition that demands expensive medication. While on the 'job' Courtney meets a man twice her age who is pretty messed up emotionally. The man, Noah, offers to help Courtney out and they end up helping each other move on.

The things that I need the most help with are:
•Making sure that I stay in character and that I'm in Courtney's voice all the time
•Deciding whether or not to make it a romance

Oh God, so sorry you've had to wait such a while. I'm a tad busy but I could review as much as I can. The story certainly sounds interesting. I don't know if I could read the whole fourteen chapters this summer though.

The chapters are all very short and can be found on livejournal. However, you need an account because they are f-locked. If you don't have an lj, I can email them to you, or pm them to you , if you'd like. That way, you'd get one chapter at a time and I can email you the next one when you're finished reading the chapter you have.
