I'm gonna jazz this up later, and add more as I see fit, but there's only one character Seb really needs, and that's Weena from his canon, The Time Machine. I picture as being either a total ditz, but real kind, or some sort of mental patient who has just stopped caring about things and just flits about life in a dreamy state (think Luna Lovegood), or perhaps even a mentally handicapped person.
I'd like for this person to develope a relationship with Seb that's akin to a brother/sister thing, since in the novel the Time Traveler and Weena developed a relationship like that, a sort of affection for each other before *spoiler if you haven't read the book* Weena died. He would dote on her, fuss over, actually have someone to care about that isn't a total douche to him (I'm lookin' at you Jimmy! x3).
So yeah. Playbys I would suggest are Melanie Laurent (since they have a movie together now, Beginners, Ewan and her), if you're going for an older one, or even the girl who plays Luna Lovegood for a younger one (can't remember her name).
