July Awards Nominations!

AWARD TIME!

First, some rules!

1) the same character cannot win the same award two months in a row (want to give others a chance, so keep that in mind when you make your nominations and voting. You can give that person acknowledgement of course in your post!)

2) Come the first week of August (or around there), we'll give out awards...which means the people who have awards now will have to give their siggies up so the new winners can feel special But dont worry, we'll have an archive of awards in our graphics section and you can keep a list of the awards you've won in your siggy.



Here's a reminder of the criteria

Criteria for Male and Female of the Month: Should have many of these qualities
-Active
-Constantly contributing to the board and its members
-Wonderful RPer (you can provide an excerpt of a post that demonstrates their wonderfulness)
-Helpful and friendly

Criteria for Couple/Duo of the Month: Should have many of these qualities
-Excellent RPs together
-Either have one or more of the following - Chemistry/Rivalry/Romance/Teamwork/Interesting dynamic or pairing
-RPers work well together

Criteria for Thread of the Month: Should have many of these qualities
-Engaging, exciting, suspenseful and/or enjoyable to read
-All characters demonstrate excellent RPing skills
-A defining/memorable thread

Claudius Chandler
For MALE OF THE MONTH

Here's why!
We have to give the resident trouble maker/drunk/conniving a**hole a nod here! I've had the pleasure of threading with Claudius a few times as well as watching Nessie interact beautifully with Harry (Yols). The character of Claudius Chandler is amazingly dynamic, he has several different sides that are all handled masterfully by Nessie. She says that she isn't totally confident with him yet but I don't care; I love Claudius Chandler.

Honorable Mentions: Chester Verto and Ashton Young. Two wonderfully played characters, both completely different adaptations of the Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter than I've ever seen before.


"Mona" Lisa Dragoti
For FEMALE OF THE MONTH

Here's why!
I don't know if I even need to explain this one. Bri never fails to deliver a wonderful post and has gotten around to working with so many characters (my dear, underused Tommy included). I adore Mona and I adore Bri.

Honorable Mentions: Dolores Haze, Juliet Capulet. Again, two energetic characters who are fearless in their rping!

A Ghost Upon the Floor
For THREAD OF THE MONTH

Here's why!
They may be only four posts in but I'm already loving this thread. It may or may not have something to do with my absolute obsession of Harry and Chase threading together. They're dynamic and chemistry is just too amazing to deny.

Honorable Mentions: God, so many. This has been a good month for good threads.

Holly Uror and Sebastian Martin
For COUPLE/DUO OF THE MONTH

Here's why!
Their thread Grocery List is such a poignant thing to read. These two characters have really bonded through their ability and all that they've gone through. I hope to see much, much more from these two together.

Honorable Mentions: Chester Verto and Ashton Young: because they're great together! So fun and entertaining. Juliet Capulet and Victor Griffiths: the most awkward duo out there. Which is probably why I love them so much :3

Here's why!
Chesh is an amazing character to thread with. I've threaded with Chesh on multiple occasions, and it is always a pleasure to post to those threads. Chesh is always up with twist and turns. Chesh's chemistry with Hatter, is amazing and makes for the most wonderful posts!


Dolores "Lo" Haze
For FEMALE OF THE MONTH

Here's why!
Rain always has such amazing posts! I have to admit I stalk all her posts because the way she interacts with others characters are so wonderful. She is so in touch with Lo's personality, which always makes the posts so much more fun. Posting to Lo threads with Mona always makes me so excited because I can't wait to see what she does!

Animal Instincts
For THREAD OF THE MONTH

Here's why!
So I am in love with this Thread. It could possibly be because I love sarcasm and of course James being well , James. Yols and Kay do such an amazing job in the thread and is always a joy to read. Yols sarcasm as Harry, and Kay's wonderful way of making James the person you have to love, even when you don't want to, makes this thread so amazing!

Here's why!
These two are an unstoppable, and hilarious to read together. I love them both. They are amazing to see in action. They complement each other perfectly. They can take twists and turns easily and just run with the punches. They are the perfect Dynamic Duo.

Erik Spectre
For MALE OF THE MONTH

May I begin by saying I have always admired this character and Leffie's portrayal of him? Because I have. But I saw 'Phantom' on Broadway (my first time ever seeing the show) and MY GOODNESS. Leffie captures this character so well; having seen the show I understand him more and feel for his character. Leffie clearly has a passion for Phantom and it's no surprise - Erik is an amazing character, amazing. (:


Jane Eyre
For FEMALE OF THE MONTH

I believe I've nominated Jane before but I'm doing so again gosh darn it. Why? Because Jane is amazing. (: I've had many a wonderful thread with her and she's such an adorable character and Kay writes her expertly and really makes you feel for her, whether she's being made uncomfortable by Claudius or is shocked at Her Ladyship's insanely overpriced shoes. I love Jane as a character and love seeing how she interacts with different characters here at RC (Tybalt and Erik being recent examples of the different sides to her).


Animal Instincts
For THREAD OF THE MONTH

This has already been mentioned but I'm doing so again. Apologies. Well, not really, as this thread deserves to be nominated. Both roleplayers play their respective characters with the skill and finesse we know to expect of them; the way Harry and James interact and their different motivations within the thread are fascinating to read and find out more about. Can't wait to read more, guys!

Both roleplayers are friendly, incredibly active and deliver amazing posts. They both hit the ground running and have interacted with many different characters. The interactions between Mona and Dolores in Tell Me A Lie are particularly enjoyable; as I've never read their canon I look forward to finding out more about them as they traverse the site. (:
