Yes, Yes, I should know this goes without saying what I need. But still. XD I just wanted to let everyone know that we HAVE NO SHERLOCK! AND THAT I REALLY NEED ONE.

To explain Sherlock like explaining Alice in Wonderland, or something. He's not the man you typically see in the movies, wearing his deerstalker outfit and deducing crime like a complete gentleman, him in his pipe and his pudgy companion Watson and his debonaire looks. No no no, Sherlock Holmes isn't really that. He's just... Bizarre.

For starters, he's a drug addict. Turn you off? There's more. The man does obscene amounts of opium in order to stimulate his brain when not on a case. A little bit obsessive much, huh? XD He's pretty antisocial, doesn't go out much, if at all, unless Watson drags him out (which he will). He's sort of a sociopath, but really, with John in his life, that'll probably change. He's asexual, so he's not out to charm the ladies unless he wants information out of them. He's a master of disguise, and will go to any means nessecary to close the case.

I think you guys have the picture now. I just wanted to you know... throw him out there in case you were stuck on a character. I'd advise NOT taking him though unless you're EXTREMELY well up on the canon and the character himself though. He is VERY difficult to write, as his mood is always changing. He can get bored very easily when not on a case, and his wild methods are hard to get down. No one expects what he does, not even John.

Believe me, I wanted to be THIS guy before I picked John. I tried, and failed. But if you're really set on taking him, and you feel really confident you can master him, GO FOR IT. PLEASE. I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!!!!

Oh... And I just wanted to pitch this guys playby.... One more time.....



If you do take Holmes.... PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE use Benedict Cumberbatch as your playby. You'll make me so happy. :3 I can't picture a Martin Freeman Watson without his Benedict Cumberbatch Holmes. Its just not done... Of course the decision is in YOUR hands, but I can't honestly think of anyone else to BE Holmes. Well... Okay, maybe Jim Carrey, but honestly, why would you seperate what's already amazing in this pair?

Hello there! In response to your post (quite obviously), I decided to just... put out there that I would definitely love to take up the role of Sherlock Holmes. Unfortunately, I doubt I'd be able to... let's say 'rise to the expectations held for such a character'.
Shame, that.

Anywho, unless a miracle shall occur and I power through the entire classic Holmes literature library at, quite nearly, the speed of light, and suddenly yet brilliantly gain superior powers of writing and plot devising, I will most definitely not be taking this role. Ahhhhh well.
I guess I'll just read it when you find a Sherlock (Definitely hope it'll be Benny too). Mind?



P.S. I'm new to the site, so please excuse any discombobulation I may have caused by actually writing this meaningless reply. It just seemed a little weird if I would have started reading whatever it was you wrote and not said so.
P.P.S. I am also aware that the above sentence undoubtedly made little (if any sense), but for obvious reasons I just really wanted to stick a certain word in there.

If you have any GRASP of this character at all besides the typical Holmes, you should play him. I already love you. Seriously.

I should tell you I've not read hardly any of the stories. I don't think you REALLY need to as long as you know the character well. And it does seem like you do. XDDD I've just researched and researched Watson. I do that with all my characters (well, except Erik. I know that man inside and out anyway....). You could do the same with Holmes. I just put up the warning to the people who were going to play him like the original movies Holmes, the deerstalker, swoopy pipe, and typical movie Holmes attitude. I was advising them to go for a more authentic Holmes.

So yeah, and besides, you don't HAVE to use Benedict if you don't want to. XD It's just a suggestion, a very aggressive one, but I've been pretty obsessed with the show as of late. I strongly encourage blending your own twist into the character, of course! ^^ That's why I also suggested Jim Carrey as a potential playby. XD I have a soft spot for Martin Freeman!Watson though.

Just whatever you want to do, I'm up for! ^^ I just want my Watson to have a Holmes... He feels so very incomplete at the moment!

I would love to play him, obviously, but I just wouldn't want to turn out to be spectacularly rubbish.
And I very much don't like it when people get annoyed with me. A portion of the time (the size of said portion is absolutely unnecessary) it isn't even my fault.

Fellow Sherlockian here and I think my heart just smiled at the prospect of having Holmes on here again. ^^
