I did suspect there was something amiss at first, as all the evidence seemed to point in the direction of foul play. A post mortem found there was an irregularity in Edward's bloodstream, although this was confirmed to be due to his state of ill health rather than as anything worthy of suspicion.

Dr. James Faustus seemed to have a large part in treating Edward after his collapse. Some pundits argue that he had something to do with his death. But since Edward was reportedly already dying that seems quite implausible. But I want to hear from you two, do you think Faustus did all he could?

I'm sorry to say I do not believe Doctor Faustus did all he could to help my brother, and this was one of the main reasons for my initial suspicions after Edward died. However I do not believe this makes the doctor guilty of his death, as it were...I doubt even Faustus would have been able to help Edward much at that point.

I have a different opinion. The man seemed nervous in the dinner. Edward seemed to be controlling himself fine, his health might have been declining, but his spirit and youth always seemed to be quite well when I saw him and yet I don't know the situation of his health.

Interesting...
Anne Lancaster, you know what its like to lose someone close to you. You were married to a man, coincidently, named Edward as well. Was the former mayor's death deja vu for you?

Edwards death, did have its toll on me. But not as quite as loosing my husband and the father of my child. As you well know there is a mystery surrounding that death as well. Is it not funny that these two deaths came so unexpected, so mysterious. Do you think any of the authorities would do anything about it, Certainly not. But I feel also that justice will prevail for me and for Richards sake.

Same here. Same here. And I apologize to pry but it is unclear for most people what happened. What killed your late husband, Anne?

Can you believe that I actually don't know.. That was the biggest mystery of all. How could a wife not know anything, some say that it was the opposing family. Some say that it was rivals who were against Edward and his father. Though what I honestly believe that it is something that we will never known, until someone confesses the knowlege of that death.
Don't you agree ..

Yes yes, and I'm interested to hear what Richard has to say about this. Doesn't that trouble you to know Lancaster will never know what happen to her husband? It almost mirrors Edward's death in an uncanny way. We may never know if everything that could have been done for him was done. What do you think about this, mayor?

I must admit the fact that Anne will never know what happened to her late husband is an acute source of displeasure to me. I believe she has a right to know what happened, and the fact that Edward d'Anjou's death is such a mystery...it's all very troubling, and strange come to that. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say it was probably some rival of his, though in truth I haven't the faintest idea who (or what) killed him and his father. Trust me, if I did know, I'd be the first to tell Anne.

Yes, of course you would, I'm sure.
Has the tragedy of Edward Plantagenet's death brought you two closer as friends?...considering the fact that you both lost someone dear to your heart so mysteriously and suddenly.

To be honest, I never looked at it that way. But in light of your suggestion I believe it has...not that I'm trying to place his death in a positive light or anything of that nature. Anne has been a great comfort to me during the past few weeks and I can't thank her enough for her continued friendship.

On a lighter note, lets talk about the guest list at the Plantegent dinner for a second. I believe the guest list included, let me just read it off here...you have Monte Cristo - famous business man and extraordinary entrepreneur, detective Sherlock Holmes, Harry Chandler of Hamlet Enterprises, Joanne Jefferson - notable civil lawyer, Dr. James Faustus - as we all know...these are just to name a few. What did you think of the guest list? Did you both know these people well?

What did I think of the guest list? Well, I did assist Edward in writing it up, to a degree. I'd met the Count before at the Capulet Ball, the same with Doctor Faustus. Harry Chandler I'd met once too and I like to think we got along well. Miss Jefferson however I hadn't met; I believe Edward had originally invited her father, Joseph Jefferson, but he was unable to attend. It was the same with Detective Holmes, I hadn't met him before that night. He's certainly a character I won't soon forget, however.

The guest list to me was really extensive, and all well worth each and every conversation. But as for knowing them to be quite frank. I did not know any of the other guest. I only knew detective Holmes. But pretty much never really knew any of them and actually did not spend much time to know them. My thoughts were guetting in the way of conversation.
