Well it was certainly a who's who of anybody who is anybody, that is for sure. Switching gears for a bit, as you know, and I have to ask this question because its on everyone's lips as of late. Plantegenet, do you think you've won the vote for mayor fair and square?

Why would I think otherwise? In all seriousness, yes, I believe I did. I understand why people might be suspicious, considering that both candidates, myself and George, were brothers and therefore perhaps likely to view the campaigns as an excuse for sibling rivalry or something of that nature....which, continuing with that line of thought, could have led to an unfair victory. However I hasten to assure you that was not the case.

And I'm sure the wonderful pundits over on CNN and MSNBC reading this will want to know the answer to this question. There's been a lot of debate about where you stand during your campaign so I'll just ask you right here and now. Do you consider yourself a republican or democrat, or more generally...do you see yourself as leaning more on the conservative or liberal side?

I'd consider myself more right wing than left, leaning more on the conservative side. I believe there are traditions and values that society needs to keep to and uphold. However, at the same time, I believe that change is a good thing and that it is indeed necessary, especially in a city like this one.

Of course. And in regards to the new laws and policies you've set in place for the city, what do you say to critics who feel that taxing major businesses will hurt the city's economy?

I say they should be patient, wait and see what will come rather than condemning the policy almost instantly. I won't deny that the benefits may be difficult to see at first, but in the long run they will be sure to show.

With all of the political talk going on, as just demonstrated, how is it being a friend to Mayor Plantagenet with all of that, Lancaster? Are you savvy to the politics?
And mayor, will you let Lancaster, being the friend that she is, in on the decisions you make as mayor? Will she help you a bit with some of the policy making?

If Anne wishes to know what's going on I'll be more than happy to tell her. And if she wishes to help in making policies and laws then she will certainly be welcome to; the opinions and ideas of others should always be taken into consideration when such things as ways to run the city effectively are being discussed.

I am not a politician at all, and as I say and will always say let politicians do what they do best " Govern. " I say and with that I don't want any involvement with the government of New York.

Fair enough.
Mayor, since Ms. Lanchaster spends a lot of time with you, do you see much of her son? And Lancaster, do you let him help with the parenting at all?

I don't let mayor Plantagenet in on the parenting of my child at all, after all he is a busy man and he should not be trifled with such little details. There is very little of what the man could do, since in my opinion he has never handled children now has he... If the rumors of me and hims relationship were true, then my answer would be different don't you think so. ?

You make a fair point Anne, although I don't consider Henry's well-being a 'little detail'.
And to answer your question, I don't see much of young Henry despite the friendship between Ms. Lancaster and myself. On the occassions that I have seen him I've found him to be a pleasant and well brought up child;a tribute to his parents. Though Anne is right in saying I've had little contact with children, this despite the fact both my brothers have them.

Very nice, mayor. It's good to hear that Henry seems to be well brought up. And Lancaster, the the rumor is, as you well know, that there is more going on. But even just as friends, don't you get under each other's skin sometimes? It can't be all sunshine and roses with you two. Are there things that irritate you about each other?

I don't think anything's ever, as you put it, sunshine and roses. Anne can be quite stubborn sometimes, and this is irksome, but it's not a big problem. I can be that way myself.

Richard can be quite bossy with his employers and me around , when he is in a foul mood. Also he can be quite up to the challenge of perfectionism . I say in secrecy though, but pretty much anything that goes between me and my friend is quite sunshine and roses as Richard put it, except for those things.
