LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
(the following instructions are by Richard)
Letter To The Editor: How Does It Work?
A letter to the editor, for those of you who don’t know, is where people who read the New York Times would write in comments about recent articles, suggestions, complaints and so forth. Here at Rewritten City these letters can be from your own character or from some total randomer for even more variety. Here’s a couple of examples so you see what I mean. Letter From An RC Character Dear Editor, Your recent article concerning the the Hank Yrio case was most distressing. Of course I’m sorry the poor man’s dead, but the whole business with Jekyll himself? Good grief, look at the evidence! There’s a clear motive in the money, not only that but the fact only Yrio and Jekyll had access to the tapes and Yrio’s dead…this means Jekyll must have them, surely. And then he declined to comment on the will? If the man’s not guilty (which I doubt) he’s certainly hiding something. If I were the police I’d just arrest the fellow and get it over with. That’s my opinion. -Displeased As you probably guessed, smart cookies that you are, that was a disgruntled Lady Catherine de Bourgh writing in, using a none too subtle alias. A letter from a random person on the street would be done in a similar fashion. I just used Her Ladyship as an example. ^__^ So pm the admins your letters from your own characters or random people on the street, and we'll display them here

Dear Editor,
The conclusion to the case of Hank Yrio? An absolute disgrace. To be quite frank, I'm outraged that the police weren't able to solve the crime. All this stuff about insufficient evidence with regards to Jekyll? He had access to the tapes, a motive in the will. Surely that's evidence? I'm losing faith in the NYPD to be honest. If they can't even solve a case as simple as this, who knows what this city will come to?

To the editor:
I'd like to thank the New York Times for their outstanding interviews with Dr. Jay Watson and Dr. Faustus. As an aspiring doctor, currently studying in pre-med, its very interesting to receive such an in depth look into the minds of people who are successful in the field. I also think it's interesting how both doctors have such different personalities! To the person who interviewed Dr. Faustus, wow! He must've been a handful! But I suppose people with that level of brilliance can have the right to be a bit quirky. And as for Dr. Watson, I have the utmost respect for him. What a wonderful interview.
Thank you New York Times for your informative journalism! Keep up the good work!

Dear Editor,
I wish to congratulate the New York Times on their most recent interview, with our new mayor. It was fascinating to read his thoughts on matters both political and personal; keep up the brilliant job!
However, I feel I must add that, despite his continual assurances that he's doing what's best for the city, thus far I've found Mayor Plantagenet's policies to be somewhat unsound. How is raising taxes going to help improve the economic climate? Maybe I'm just ignorant but I get the impression that isn't going to work.
Yours sincerely,
A. Murray

Dear Editor,
How about some good news once and a while. Ever since you reported on that body in the subway and all the political stuff happening right now, I could really use a pick me up. My little girl is terrified to go near the subway and my father, 84 years old, hasn't stopped ranting about how New York City is going down the toilet with Plantagenet and that new guy, Tormei, as our only options. Why don't you report on weddings, or births, or charity events?
Sincerely, Mr. Depression
