NEW YORK TIMES POLITICAL REVIEW
There have been many changes made to Mayor Plantagenet’s policies over the course of the last month, although many of the old ones are still in effect.
The most controversial of the Mayor’s new policies is his decision to cut government funds in the healthcare sector. The Times as yet does not know of the origins or influences of this decision, but we do know the results and the public are not pleased, particularly those working in the field.
We were able to obtain the opinion of the renowned Doctor James Faustus, whose opinion is strangely at odds with the masses.
"An acclaimed, brilliant, astonishing, award winning doctor such as myself doesn't need to point out, " Faustus stated. "the healthcare cuts that the mayor has implemented... I'm not going to do that. I don't need to talk about any of that. I'm sure the city's fine people can see with their own two eyes what Mayor Plantagenet is about [and understand]... other decisions he's made in his term."
On a more positive note the heavy taxes that were imposed at the beginning of last month have been lowered a great deal, enabling businesses which had been struggling due to their effects to get back on their feet. However it is worthwhile to note that not every business was hard hit by the taxes, Monte Cristo Investments being a prime example. The reason for the taxes being cut, as with the cuts made in health funding, are as yet unclear.
Other than this, the mayor’s policies remain the same: the smoking and thievery bills are still in effect, although the latter is proving more of a success than the former.
Do you have an opinion about the laws and policies? Let us know!
DOCTOR BRINGS BACK RARE ANIMAL
A very strange creature was sighted with Doctor Moreau recently at La Guardia Airport. The Times is as yet unaware just what the creature is or where it came from, as the doctor was unavailable for comment.

ART GALLERY OPENS TO GREAT ACCLAIM
A new art gallery displaying the work of many of the city’s up and coming artists was officially opened at a grand gala on the last Friday of the month. The gallery, First Impressions, was sponsored by a number of charitable foundations including ‘Art with a Heart’, in which the honourable Lady Catherine de Bourgh is a leading light. The event was well attended not only by art lovers and members of the foundation but by many important or well recognized figures including Medea Kekelidze, the political refugee from Greece, and many more.
