WALL STREET MURDER LEFT UNSOLVED!
The murder of Hank Yrio, owner of the now-closed 'Hank's Hardware' has been dismissed after a severe lack in progress. Yrio's only employee, 23 year old Henry Jekyll, was interviewed and held on suspicion but since has been released due to insufficient evidence. No other leads were brought forward. The case has been deemed cold. Read our exclusive interview with Henry Jekyll here!

NEW! WORD ON THE STREET:
HEARING FROM THE AVERAGE NEW YORK RESIDENT
(The following instructions and examples are by Richard!)
This is something I came up with so we can hear the opinions of the Average Joes of RC, the people on the street, the normal citizens of Rewritten City rather than the characters we all play, to help add a degree of realism.
It works like this: you would write up a conversation, script format, paragraphs…however you prefer, between two or more ‘average’ people, discussing recent events in the City. This conversation is then PM’d to admins to be put in the paper (in the sense that’s it’s there as news, not that reporter picked up on some random conversation and wrote it up for the news!)
Here’s an example, in script format, so you can see how it could be done.

This conversation is then PM’d to admins to be put in the paper (in the sense that’s it’s there as news, not that reporter picked up on some random conversation and wrote it up for the news!)
Here’s an example, in script format, so you can see how it could be done.
[Two men disembark from a taxi, weighted down with their coats and briefcases on their way to work. They are in the middle of a rather heated discussion.]
JAMES: I, for one, think it’s completely and utterly ridiculous! We’re in the middle of a financial crisis and what’s our esteemed leader doing? Throwing himself a party. I mean, what the hell?
[His companion looks disapprovingly at him.]
BRIAN: You know, you really should talk about the guy like that.
I’m sure he’s doing what he can to-
JAMES: Yeah…right. If he is, where’s the evidence? I’m not seeing any.
BRIAN: (somewhat lamely) Stocks have been doing well recently.
JAMES: And that isn’t his area of expertise, is it now? Nope, money matters are best left with his brother. The smart one. Un-necessary expenditure isn’t in his vocabulary.
BRIAN: You may praise him all you like, but there’s something I don’t like about that comptroller of his. There’s something…off about him.
JAMES: Just because he’s not the same as his brother?
BRIAN: I can’t put my finger on it, but-
JAMES: Personally, I think things would be a lot better around here if Richard was running the place, rather than Edward. I saw him in church a few weeks ago, Richard. Seems a good man to me.
BRIAN: Just because you see someone in church doesn’t mean they’re a good person.
JAMES: Good enough for me.
[The two men arrive at their office building and enter, the conversation turning to other matters.]
Here’s hoping that all made sense! Looking forward to seeing some interesting letters and conversations! (:
Please PM the admins your conversations and we'll add them to this thread!
