Hi, my name is Katie and this is my Third character. I found this site through orignally from an ad, I think.... Something you should know about me is my evil voice and speech teacher told me I'd make a make a good Ophelia.
Ophelia Helena Knowles
| High Class |
| High Class |
Canon: William Shakespeare's Hamlet
Custom Title: Wear Yours With A Difference
PHYSICAL
Age: Twenty-One
Gender: Female
Orientation: Straight
Appearance: Ophelia stands at six inches over five feet tall, closer to seven inches. She has pale skin with a rosy glow in her cheeks. Her eyes are slightly amound shaped and colored chocolate brown. She has light freckles over her face but they are not very noticeable and can be covered over by make-up, if she choses. Her hair is a shade of light brown that can appear darker depending on the light with low lights of blonde (from time in the sun) and it falls down to the middle of her back. Her limbs are long and thin, as are her hands which also have long fingers. She is thin but not to the point of sickness, just a healthy thin.
Ophelia likes to try different hair styles, nothing too extreme (like Lady Gaga style or anything of the sort) but if it will keep her hair off her face, she'll try it once (or more than once if she likes it). For clothing style, she tends to lean towards more consertive fashions but with a slight flair to them. Her style can, at times, be influenced by Taylor Swift, who she thinks has great style. She's been known to wear sundresses and things when she has a relaxing day but usually, she wears clothes that have a rather sopheticated nature, almost too mature for her age. She is rather fond of Victorian things and will find ways to add a touch of Victorian things to her outfit.
Height: 5'7"
Weight/Body Type: Thin yet curvy

Play By: Emma Watson
PERSONALITY
General personality: When you first meet Ophelia, you would not believe she's twenty-one years old. She has a bit of an air about her that would make you think she's older, maybe about thirty. She never really acts her age. She's lived in the big city all of her life and that made her mature faster. She seems very worldly, like she's traveled the world but she's just read a lot of books about different places. She hasn't traveled much in her rather young life, just to France apart from living in Denmark but she enjoys reading about them.
Ophelia tries to stay very calm and level headed but she has a fiery spirit and temper that can flair up at a moments notice. It will take her awhile to calm down when it flairs up but she is a force to be reckoned with when it happens. She is the type of person you take seriously. She thinks before she acts for the most part, she does have impulsive moments. She doesn't seem like she'd belong in a library, which is where she works, but, since she is an actor, she plays the part of a librarian. She is more than qualified to be one at any library. She is very smart, having passed her schooling "with flying colors" as they say...except for that token class where you had to learn the symbols of the phonetic alphabet, which was not her strong suit.

History: Ophelia Helena Knowles was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to "Polonious" and Martine Knowles twenty-one years ago. She was the first daughter born to the couple, following nearly six years after the birth of their son, Levi. Everything was fine for the Knowles family. They were rather well off, living in Copenhagen. She had everything she needed and never wanted for her family's love. Suddenly, though, that happy world came to an end with the death of her mother. Following her mother's death, her father put all his time and money into his two children. Debt soon fell upon the family and they sold their home in Copenhagen so "Polonious" could take a job in France.
The suburbs of Le Plessis Robinson didn't feel like home Ophelia. She liked it enough but she missed Copenhagen and her friends there. She liked Paris, when she went there. There was such culture there and she felt as alive as she'd ever felt. Being so close to Paris, gave her the opportunity to see French musicals, her favorite being Le Roi Soleil (based on the true life of French King Louis XIV). While living in Le Plessis Robinson, she found herself going to fashion shows more often than not. She was fascinated with French designs. The designers in Paris were genius, she thought but something in her was telling her she could do it too. She was looking for a fashion design school in Paris when her father decided to take her to America. Levi stayed in Paris and she missed him terribly.
"Polonious" and Ophelia settled in New York City. It was very different from Paris but she quickly found she liked it much better. She'd never felt more alive. It was such a cultural city and she enjoyed every part of it. She quickly found Parsons The New School for Design right in the middle of the fashion district. It was just the place she needed and she was already improving on various outfits she purchased in Paris.
THE SAMPLE
In Character Sample: (Please give us a post in the character you're applying for. Remember, all godmods should be in a different color.) (this may be boring but... XD I kinda set it when Ophelia and Harry are seeing each other I god-modded Levi... probably badly but it worked, me thinks.)
Ophelia sighed as she sat down on the edge of the large fountain at Lincoln Center , a small cup of her favorite cinnamon gelato on her hand. She enjoyed these summer days. The library's air conditioning was cool and the books on fashion were plentiful. She got too cold and decided to go enjoy Lincoln Center. The gelato stand, which was closed when she got off the subway, was now open and she was glad to take advantage of it. Lincoln Center was a wonderful place to spend warm days in the city. The breeze off the fountain, with a little mist in it, was delightful. She dipped her small blue spoon into the small cup and enjoyed her first taste of her favorite frozen treat of the summer. She loved how Lincoln Center came alive in the summer, just like central park. It was a calm day in that square surrounded by a street busy with cars on one side and the other three by the ballet, opera and sympathy hall. She put her small cup down beside her and laid on her stomach, her ankle's crossing and her chin resting on her left hand. Her right idly turned pages of her copy of Vogue she purchased before she got on the subway, looking for an dress or something to improve on. The weather wasn't too hot yet, that weather would come in July, but it was very comfortable, especially with the warm breeze that played with her hair that was swept back into a ponytail that day.
Her phone then rang, it's ringing disrupting the gentle calm of her break. She sighed softly and sat up, her legs swinging over the side of the wide fountain edge again. The bright screen told her the call was from her brother, Levi. She couldn't remember the last time he called, them both being so busy. "Levi! Hi!" she said with a laugh "Ophelia," he said, also laughing, "Where are you?" "Lincoln Center." she told him, "I'm done for the day. What's up?" "Apparently quite a bit. You know you can tell me anything, right?" "Of course I do, Levi." she told him truthfully, "What's going on?" He signed before answering. "Why didn't you tell me that you were with that Chandler." "He has his name, Levi." she said, trying not to explode at her brother. "It doesn't matter." "It does matter!" she told him, starting to explode at him, "His name is Harry, all right! Harry Chandler." "Ophie, calm down.", he told her before signing and continuing, his voice now now soft, showing his fondness for his younger sister, "Do you even know what you're doing?"
That question hung in the air for a moment. DID she know what she was doing? The answer was no. She'd never been in a relationship this serious before. There were a few guys along the way who fancied her but she never felt the way she feels about Harry about them. Harry was different, special to her. But her temper now flared "It's my life, Levi and I can do what I like! Harry is...he's different, okay? And I know what I'm doing!" She pressed the end button faster than she ever thought possible. She sighed and pushed her long bangs out of her eyes, trying to calm herself down. The end was a lie. She had no idea what she was doing but she knew she'd figure it out soon. She got up, closing her magazine and placing it in her bag, before trashed the end of her gelato (since food was not aloud in the library) and heading back into the library and up to her little haven full of wonderful books.
