Applying
- DO NOT post anywhere on the board until your application is accepted. If you need a guide on how to create a canon character here, check out the newbie Guide.
- Only 3 characters are allowed per RPer. A 4th character may be bought through our site shop. You must have 50 posts for a second character and 25 posts (as your second character) to apply for a third. A good amount of these posts (half or close to it) should be IC.
Character
- No Mary Sues/John Smiths, of course.
- It is possible to kill off your character. All death plots , however, MUST be approved by staff. Some canon characters will not be allowed to do this.
- If you decide you want to drop a character, make sure all of your major plots are completed before dropping. This means you must choose the character that you want to play wisely.

Roleplaying
- For casual threads, we require around 2 paragraphs per post (around 6 sentences per a paragraph). However we understand that in some circumstances there will be less. Posts should be readable with correct grammar (though the occasional typo is alright; notify a staffer if English is not your first language, just so we are aware), and in 3rd person, past tense (unless staff approves otherwise).
Remember, people have different posting styles (which can also depend on the character) so post lengths may differ between players. As long as you move the thread along with your post, give enough for those in the thread to work with and respond to, and put some thought into the post - short posts are nothing to apologize for.
- Rapidfire Threads
You can get points for entering rapidfire threads: these qualify as a minimum of one post from each character per day. Rapidfire post do not have to have two full paragraphs as long as the points come across and they are well written; grammar and rules still apply.
- Godmodding of characters played by an RPer (without permission) and powerplaying is not allowed.
Content- Keep things tasteful. For sexy scenes, nothing X-rated. When you see that the RP is getting to risky, fade to black. Swearing is allowed but please don't be excesive.
- We are a site that aims for the "surreal experience." That means we're not completely fantasy (meaning no vampires, mind control, zombies) but we aren't completely real life (we do accept things that people in RL do actually believe exist, like ghosts, visions, hypnosis, witchcraft. Reactions to things like this should be as realistic as possible. PM an admin if you have questions on this.
Activity- Inactive players who want to keep their characters must respond to monthly activity checks.
Inactivity means that, without notification (such as posting in the Absence board, for example), you have not posted in a month.
Regular activity, which you must have to apply for more than one character, is at least one roleplay post per two weeks.
There will occasionally be activity checks, where we will list inactive characters. To be removed from this list, reply to it by end of the week. Any inactive character who isn't spoken for will be archived. We'll send email updates when activity checks happen. So remember, if you're busy, generally museless, or will be absent a while, just let us know in the away board.

Cbox- Along with normal site rules, please keep plotting and shipping talk to a reasonable amount. Be aware that everyone may not be in your plot so you don't want to flood the cbox with it and alienate people. If you have to talk extensively about a plot or ship, please do most of it over IM.
- Likewise, if you're having a bad day, keep the extensive ranting out of the cbox and take it to IM or PM. Please keep the cbox welcoming, friendly, and the mood positive!
- No spamming of any kind. That means no message flooding in the form of excessive all caps, or excessive posting in the cbox when no one is there to respond.
Anything Else- Signatures should not stretch the board. Only one signature per person please. Thanks!
- Please don't put anything in the "website" fields of your profile. We're going to put a link to your character bio there when accepted.
