Okay we got everything we need except a few things. Our promo ads! So if you're graphically inclined and you want to help us out, here's how to do it
We need an ad an a new affiliate button. Staff will review submissions and pick the one that we like best to be our official ad, and credit will be given. BUT that doesn't mean that if you're not picked, your ad won't be used. 1) it is possible that we can have multiple affiliate buttons, so more likely than not, the affiliate button will be used and 2) We can definitely use different ads for different places, or use the base graphic for something else.
Now the specs!
DEADLINE & SUBMISSION:
Next Friday, Sept 16. The reason its so soon is because 1) I completely forgot I wanted to revamp the ad and 2) We're now almost done with the revamp and would love to get it up and running asap. I'm thinking (shooting for) next weekend.
PM your submission to me when you're done!

Whatever your muses come up with lol I'm not really good at finding stock images but I came up with these that could possibly be used as a back drop for the ad.

You definitely don't have to use those.

Rewritten City or RC, which ever best fits
Site Ad:
Fans of literature and theatre
RPGers and writers, one and all
Lend me your ears
There is a kingdom for a city
Where you can act
Take characters of old, and bring them back
After all, who would have thought that
For the creators of La Boheme
Their opera would become
A popular live show and film
Acquiring the title -"RENT"
Timeless themes still relevant
So take a character like Romeo
And turn him into a modern day hero
Roleplay in the world of RENT as Angel
And converse with an updated Dr. Jekyll
How would a man like Dr. Watson
React to a character of Jane Austen's?
Conflict and mayhem still rattles at the door
Family rivalries, rich verses poor
From dark Edgar Allan Poe
To the The Outsiders' thrill
Power players willing to maim and kill
Admit me prologue to these unthinkable fights
Who, for your humble patience, grant you invite
"Gently to read, kindly to judge," - our site!
(I've decided to keep the poem as ad content because not many people have a poem for an ad LOL. Its has done well to catch attention, but I shortened it to 6 verses. My hope is that it would fit on a 500 wide graphic and be readable. You can mess with fonts, font size, how to arrange the stanzas on the graphic, etc. If you absolutely cannot (meaning you tried everything to get it to work lol)put the text on the graphic you made, you can use the following:)
Who to be or not to be?
New York City is full of stories. Each person has a handful of old tales woven into their very beings, written into the way they walk, talk, and live. Who is writing these stories? You are. At Rewritten City, you get to recreate favorite classic characters from timeless works - including Shakespeare, Austen, Dickens, Poe, Phantom of the Opera, The Outsiders, Greek/Roman myths, and much more! Using the example set in place by RENT (also a canon), a musical that recreated the opera La Boheme, this site allows you to do the same!
So how will you rewrite your story?
(You can place the site name "Rewritten City" on either version, but its not necessary as we'll probably put the name as a link)
MOOD: More dark than light. Elegant.
COLORS: Deep reds, deep golds, browns, black. Or anything that strikes you as elegant and slick.
I think that's it! Don't reply to this thread with your submissions but you can totally reply to this thread with questions or comments
